Like and bump this post with an opinion on why removing special ammo was a wrong step toward weapon balancing. I myself would most certainly like to see special ammo back after death in the crucible.

petition to stop stupid petitions.

I barely need special I do just fine without it
-
Oh yeah I feel like I should add that I am all for ammo that a player is carrying be dropped when they die. That wouldn't be a bad compromise at all. While I did want the ammo changes we have now for a long time that part is still missing.

1 ReplyNope, fine with it as is. Use a primary

Petition to remove the sandbox from this entire game.

Edited by Nouveau: 4/19/2017 3:34:39 AMI agree with this, but then special weapons would need to be changed so we dont have the "Special Primary Meta" bullcrap. You can't win this fight...

Best petition ever

See the thing is....

2 RepliesThe way it is now is perfect. Why would anyone want to go back to nobody using primaries. It's a no brainer.

3 RepliesHey you begged for this nerf and you got it. Now shut up and play the game.

Like and bump this post with an opinion on why removing special ammo was a wrong step toward weapon balancing. I myself would most certainly like to see special ammo back after death in the crucible.
I would like to discuss a few things about this. First of all, I will assume that you meant argument instead of opinion since opinions don't justify opinions. Even if it's not the case, whenever you argue for something, give arguments. What makes you right and me wrong? You make your position on the matter very clear, but you don't try to explain why you chose that position. Secondly, I would like to give you my opinion on the matter. I think the changes were great. From my experience so far, alot more of the kills in the crucible can be attributed to primaries. I feel like this has made the crucible much more diverse. I now see alot of different primaries. The amount of SR, AR, PR and HC seems fairly even. This change also put sidearms in a much better place without changing their stats (I think) as well as reduce the (quite high) amount of shotgunners. I write this in the spirit of discussion. I would like to know more about your point of view.

3 RepliesMy god you crucible lot just constantly cry cry cry get over yourself, the game is at the end of its lifecycle, if its going to get reverted( i wont say fixed because its not broken) so yeh,if its going to get changed it will, Do you honestly think these stupid childish pedantic petition posts actually do anything apart from clog the forum up and make u look like a crying teenager? Always the pvp lot ruining the game.

Edited by bFLY: 4/18/2017 9:54:09 PMI like the changes. No more hoarding shotguns and button mashing. You actually have to know how to shoot to win encounters now. I played iron banner last week all the way to rank 5 and hardly saw any sidearms. I mostly saw handcannons and scouts and pulse rifles with the occasional icebreaker. I like pvp where primaries shine, and shotguns, snipers and other one hit kill weapon are more of a luxury. No more respawning and immediately rushing around with a shotgun. No more respawning and running back to your favorite campsite. Now we get to see who has actual gunskill and map awareness , and who was a button mashing, campsite sitting scrub lol. Now if we could do something about grenades and supers I'd be happy. Too many people who weren't paying attention and got caught off-guard or just plain can't shoot are being bailed out by a grenade or a panic super. Supers are being used as crutches, and it's annoying as all hell. Especially since they arent balanced with each other, and now we don't always have shotgun or snipers to stop them. That's probably my only complaint with the special ammo changes.

We should be able to use synthesis.

31 RepliesEdited by RPColten: 4/18/2017 5:29:16 PMNo. The change to special ammo was a step in the right direction. Bungie has a goal for their gunplay/gunfights and special weapons can only fit in that design when they are limited. Add a poll if you want people to vote on something. Gives better instant feedback on the state of the thread.

I did think before that something along the lines of losing special upon death should happen, but I think they kind of jumped to the utmost extreme. Okay, maybe calling the utmost extreme is a little... extreme? However, I for one would have gone with having 1 shot of special ammo after death instead of getting rid of it completely. 1 shot is just enough to get someone out of a sticky situation. Cause ya know as much as people should be using primaries to kill it isn't always enough. It isn't a matter of "get good", sometimes your opponent will get the jump on you. It is going to happen. Would just be nice to have a counter that can save your life. Take it however you will. Just my opinion.

I'm fine with losing it after a death but I do have a problem with losing it between rounds in elimination why do I lose special I picked up just because we won?
-
1 ReplyYou know what would solve this whole problem? How hard is it to copy and paste everything about crucible and just have 2 playlists: Special; No Special Would fix this whole controversy, make everyone happy.
-
I'm on both sides. Primaries should be used n all but i think specials are kind of ignored.
