Could it have been handled better? Yes it could have. But when you get randomly selected to get off the plane and refuse to do so, should they just be like "well darn ok we will have to pick someone else" like the guy brought it on himself Also the girl crying "look what you did to him" in the video...lol if it was so bad why don't you just volunteer to give up your seat

  • People did volunteer. The airline just didn't want to pay what they were asking lol.

From my understanding it was 1 volunteer but then it jumped to 4 for some reason of poor planning. They had 3 volunteers and still needed 1 more. Since no one else was he got randomly picked. People might have volunteered after the incident because they felt bad, but why not before

  • I'm just saying, according to a witness on the plane (from a post on Reddit earlier today), people had offered to get off the plane if the airline would comp them $1600 (they were offering $800 at first and then $1000) and put them on a flight the next day. They got declined.

Hmm so people were being selfish. And then upset when they didn't realize the next step was random selecting. Sounds like they were playing chess the first time and got mad when they found out the horsy moved in an L shape.

  • How is it selfish? Why wouldn't someone get pissed if they were forcibly removed because the airline made a mistake? Especially after they turned people down... Don't be a corporate shill...

They were selfish because they thought they were the ones with the bargaining chips still to play. "I'll leave but first I want 1600 dollars" Also I'm not saying he shouldn't be upset. Although I wouldn't be (heck I would have taken the 800) But for everyone else to be upset when it came to random selecting like they weren't the ones the could have prevented it...lol

Lol what is shill? They were there like "oh no how dare you remove him after refusing to move, why do you have to do that!?" When they could have prevented it in the first place. The guy also made it 100% worse on himself by screaming and struggling. Like I said it's pretty normal to be upset, but still, lol
