The most used weapon now in destiny for a secondary is a sidearm now that you can't save your special ammo for other things. We need to either bring back saving special ammo or do something about this broken meta. Hopefully balancing is better in [i]Destiny 2[/i]!

Dafuq are you people smoking. You |=/-\Gs on here all the time begging for nerfs and complaining. Don't you realize that nerfs are what got us in the first place. Sidearms were just fine when we had special ammo and primaries that could actually kill shit. Of course sidearms are going to be powerful now. Everything got nerfed. They nerfed HC range to the point that sidearms can outrange handcannons and have a faster ttk. Is it that hard to just change up tactics after a death and not come to the forums slapping your bitch cheeks every time someone pokes you.

Special ammo spawns more often now and sidearms spawn with less ammo so it kind of equals out.

Edited by michael: 4/8/2017 5:12:25 PMthe high impact archetype of sidearms just needs to be removed. jabberhakke, wormwood, teacup tempest, havoc pigeon, and ironwreath all need to just get removed. they completely defeat the purpose of a sidearm. sidearms should always be the second choice after someone runs out of primary ammo, just a little weapon that someone can whip out and clean up a kill on someone who might already be low health. the high impact sidearms can hit for ludicrous amounts of damage from hand cannon ranges. if you don't believe me just watch this video. https://youtu.be/LDoCE2-TfUs the high rate of fire sidearms such as impeacher, anton's rule, and the blinding blaze should be the only sidearms. they do what sidearms should do. the high impact ones are just out of hand. therefor the high RoF archetype is never even mentioned. why? they shoot as fast as you can pull the trigger and therefor have lots of recoil therefor you will miss your shots and when you do hit a shot it only does around 20 damage to the body and 30 to the head as opposed to the around 30 per body shot and like 50 to the head on high impact ones, which fire slow so you probably won't miss. so in the end, high impact sidearms are arguably [i]better[/i] than hand cannons within a hand cannon's range before damage falloff, and low impact sidearms are never even mentioned and see exponentially lower amounts of use than high impact ones.

Learn to work around it. It takes like 4 to 6 shots to kill someone lol. Just leave it alone and be happy it's not shot gun meta again

6 RepliesYes they kill faster because they are "special" weapons...unlike the other "special" weapons, they can't one shot kill. Sidearms are use to quickly finish an opponent and they've always been potent. It's the special ammo economy that has to be changed, not Sidearms. (I don't even use one and I think they are fair)

This is a serious issue. They nerfed handcannons to a range where they are outgunned by Sidearms. If the wanted to bring primaries a life get rid of all special ammo instead of getting rid of it for every gun except the sidearm. These people are idiots I swear.
