I used to listen to them at work for entertainment, or any news I didn't already know. But dang man.
They are going nuts with these Destiny 2 updates, which all have the exact same content. Some of them drag it out so long that you could complete a number of tasks in the time it takes them to say 'Destiny 2 will have expansions.'
And then some of them glorify the news so over the top for no reason. DESTINY 2 WILL HAVE EXPANSIONS!!!😱
NO SHIT! Yeah. It has expansions. Cool. Why is this news.
And then there are the few who were covering dead games and now want to sound like they know everything about Destiny. I just watched a famous Division youtuber tell everyone not to preorder Destiny 2, until they've played the game. With as much time as Ive enjoyed Destiny, that makes me cringe. He doesn't know anything about it.
Anyway...that's it. ;) Have a good one.
**Best response so far imo
Its the perception of people believing that youtubers/streamers have a higher opinion then anyone else. That, and the fact their notoriety helps them bring in random people on the "related" tab, there doesn't need to be much effort put in when "Destiny 2" is "trending" after its announcement.
Personally, I think a lot of Destinys are more liked for personality, or information(aka being "knowledgable"). Combined with a community that continues to struggle on steps in raids that are extremely simple in execution, and you have the birth of the "perception" that these peoples opinions are "better".
*
Semper Fi commented and asked if Streamers will still be streaming when they're 60. I have found the answer.

It's called kissing Bungie's ass for a pre release copy of Destiny 2. So they can then ruin it for the rest of us by posting game play and fanboy reviews.
-
They recycle content I'm surprised they are not all the same youtuber living in a house amongst each other. The other issue I have is if one youtuber says get x gun with x perks and you got a god roll everyone in a matter of days is using said weapon that youtuber x told them is the gun to use. I call it the youtuber meta/loadout because this game is so unbalanced pvp wise that people have no choice but follow the Shepard.
-
Badass gaming. I can relate to his rage levels and sailor mouth
-
I really like Coolguy! He is still having fun and educating me about weapon perks.
-
You know what else I hate? When you tubers put an emphasis on every other god damn word. So many destiny youtubers do this. So annoying.
-
I've always despised the Destiny YouTube community, with very few exceptions. As you stated all they do is post obvious and frankly repetitive and boring content. I believe one is KackisHD whom has (had?) a series on fan-made exotics. They all were ripped of designs and or perks of previous exotics that they pasted on new weapons, or something either very useless or blatantly overpowered. Or when they cover streams and tell you obvious details that anyone who watched the stream would know, it sometimes takes less time to skim the stream than watch the community video's 'analyzing' them.
-
All of them... For months now...
-
The ones i like and can enjoy watching regularly are fruit (usually with the dream team), datto, sir demitrious, true vanguard, and badass gaming. I base my opinions on if i like their voice and content
-
1 ReplyPatrick Casey is probably the best single overall Destiny YouTuber these days (Datto is best for raw data, however). Short, sweet, to the point. Not annoying, either. Though I do agree, most Destiny Youtubers are sorta... annoying. :/
-
12 RepliesI was going to like this post but since you are a fan of pre-ordering, I disliked it
-
Youtubers and streamers control the meta. Bungie only listens to them as much as they say they don't and god damn does it piss me off. "THE BEST FUSION RIFLE IN THE GAME AAAAAH" like Jesus -blam!-ing Christ it sounds like someone is yanking out the youtubers ballsac as they're making the title of their videos.
-
CoS gaming is pretty good and straight to the point with no BS. He also doesn't make content just for "likes". I can't stand how long Kackis makes his videos with 30 seconds worth of information. He's obviously just trying to get more money.
-
That's why I only watch montages shows highlights and you be the judge if their good, above average, elite or trash. Only ones I watch occasionally is true vanguard and mightea daygon.
-
7 RepliesYeah those youtubers that use Destiny 2 as a content cash cow are the worst!!
-
Yes. They're nothing but clickbait.
-
4 RepliesI watch Mill Gaming whenever I hate Destiny. It reminds me that this is just a damn video game and I shouldn't be taking it seriously. I also watch Blessious because his commentary is pretty much the same stuff I say when I PvP. XD Everyone else is a bore.
-
A lot of them suck but Datto seems pretty knowledgeable and good at the game.
-
I've never been forced to watch videos, advertisements are a different story. Click on the videos you choose to watch. I've never understood why some make a big deal out of nothing.
-
2 RepliesI wouldn't give them the attention, I honestly don't see the appeal. Seems to be a millennial thing... Hopefully this is just a phase and youtubers / streamers fizzle out like most other things. I don't see why Bungie should take notice of them either imo, it'll only damage Destiny in the long run.
-
Looks like some big YouTube advertising companies pulled out of YouTube, So YouTubers might struggle some with monetization
-
I get tired of the hipster know it alls on Twitch. YouTube videos are helpful to me and I don't mind most of the commentary.

I love ascendant shards!
-
Personality lacking info drones "hey whats up guys ___ here and today we'll be talking about ___"
-
Honestly, when you have someone as respectable as Sir Demitrious, and all he can think of to make a video is 1v1ing someone that shit-talked him on stream, testing the PvE-oriented weapons in PvP and acting surprised that only one of them is decent, and then taking that same shit-talker on a Trials card to flawless, you know there isn't any more material for most of them to work with. Respect to Demi, he's an amazing player, but that basically proves how thinly stretched this content creator community is at this point.

1 ReplyI could never be a streamer. I got 3 kids, a job and school. Even if I was single with no kids I wouldn't want to be a streamer. Sitting still for hours and hours. Screw that. Plus I can't imagine they are all in the best of physical health, gotta get that work out in.
