Your Crota's end raid experience
Please everyone tell me your stories, I want to hear either how good or how awfully bad they were.
I so far have had extremely horrible experiences only completing it fully with 1 team out of I believe 5. Crota was where the other 4 teams I had had to stop because we simply couldn't kill him because nobody knew how to do the sword, or there were a ton of bugs happening with the sword or Crota.

Edited by karynm918: 4/9/2017 3:23:26 PMI beat Crotas End light 390 first try yesterday with my fireteam I killed Crota with two swords I was the swordbeaer I beat him in 5 minutes I soloed Crotas End 600 times before age of triumph came out I have 646 completions for Crotas End I had a amazing fireteam yesterday

2 RepliesI had an amazing group last night. We crushed Crota in literally 30 min, then a guy had an Atheon cp and we did that in about an hour. I should have friended all those guys.

1 ReplyI'd say my teams I got off the Recruitment forum here have gone pretty well. We were able to have a good time because everyone had a decent sense of humor, so we were able to joke around while doing the actual raid. We kinda got stuck on the bridge and on Crota, but all in all, it was a great team.

far as the new raid, saw crota take 1 hit from the sword with his shields down, jump up instantly, smack the sword barer, and then summon the over soul. That was slightly hilarious even though it lead to a wipe. for the old raid? dear lord the glitches are uncountable. like once when half the lanterns in the abyss spawned in exploding already, my group ran to the end, me and maybe 2 others dying on the way there, finally self rezed when it was looking bad for the rest of the people alive and they needed backup. Problem is apparently my self rez caused the thrall spawning to freak out and they stopped spawning at the end, and started spawning back at the start. Somehow though the thralls never aggro'd onto me, so while this literal river of thralls were running past me i was trying to warn the group about it, through hysterical laughter from the dead people watching me take a stroll through the maze with hundreds of thralls running past me.

Well I ran it first time on the new mode today and finished in like an hour so no complaints

Too many people dying while trying to take out the knights. Took even MORE tries to get Crota done. But that was more due to bugs in the Raid. The raid is VASTLY improved over what it was in Year One, but the Crota fight is STILL as much a fight aginast the raid's bugs as it is against the raids mechanics. Bottomline? If you have a team where people don't know the raid fights WELL....you're going to struggle. Especially with Deathsinger. There is SIMPLY no time to be telling or reminding people where they need to be or what they need to be doing. Because the only way to get it done is the team to be killing things with the precision and timing of a Swiss watch.

1 ReplyPretty much good for me,did all three characters and helped quite a few people out aswell. Only got with 2 false self proclaimed raid gods and 1 absolute arse of a human. But apart from that all good.

1 ReplyWe got to the bridge and had all kinds of crap go wrong, swords disappearing, bridges that fully formed but people still fell through, Boomer Knights spawning instead of sword knights. But we walked away and came back the next day and did it first or second try. After some change ups we were also able to do the Deathsinger challenge under 2 minutes, then on to Crota. Back in the day I never ran the sword, not that I was scared to, just there was always that one guy who did and then raged at people when he messed up. That kinda turned me off on the raid and after a few completions I never went back in. This time I ran it with my clan and after some practice I was able to get Crota down to half health on each of my runs. Granted he is much easier now since when he stands up he call for his oversoul instead of smacking you if you took too long.

Ran with a team last night, during bridge cp they insisted we needed to step off the totems to deconstruct and then reconstruct the bridge after every gatekeeper kill, saying it was a new required thing, just thought it was funny

5 Replies7 Crota and 7 deathsinger challenges completed this week. I was final sword on 2 of the runs and was on oversoul duty the rest of the time. Got every raid weapon but the hunger. Golden gun with deadeye is the trick to ending oversoul, don't forget to wait till second sword damage is over before taking the oversoul, that way you only have to do it once per sword use.

Kinda bummed because I felt like we could have done it, people just get down on themselves, or confused or don't ask questions, have to work hard to keep morale up.

2 RepliesEdited by juicehead2004: 4/4/2017 9:51:12 PMCompleted about 6-7 runs across three characters ( Nechro quest and helped a few buddies run thru and explain the challenges to them) . Every run I ran thru we killed Crota and did challenges every time. Helped a lot of new guys thru and was awesome to hear they're reaction and how happy they were to complete it and get that sweet loot.. Also finished Deathsinger challenge in 1:59 for the book..!!!! Got all the challenges done first day and got all the adept exotics . Also got the non elemental Word of Crota , Fang, Swordbreaker and 2 Song of Ir Yut . Got 2 pieces of armor for each character and the class item for all three and the shader.. Finished the Nechro quest also. Did all that thru Lfg site and had a blast running that old raid. Was all in all a great week in destiny for me .. looking very forward to goin home after work today and running the VoG challenges ..!!

3 RepliesAs a swordbearer, I one sworded Crota for groups and this challenge was a complete breeze. My videos are on YouTube under "OversoulGaming" which has around 300 subs!

3 RepliesPretty much shitty. The abyss run was my favorite part of the raid. I got a lot of good laughs during that part. The bridge? I only got through it twice, and the first time I had to get off. I never completed the challenge modes, and I sure as hell never made it to crota. Which. -blam!-ing. Sucks :(

4 RepliesDoing crota on LFG only showed me that people lied about solo'ing crota. Everybody soloed crota but when people say "who's gonna be swordbearers" everybody's silent.

It was pretty good. Have a friend that routinely takes out half of Crota's health. If everything goes well, I can do the same. So, get his health to half, next person does four sword hits, and then the third person finishes him off. Think I ended up running it over a dozen times.

A lot of people leaving fire team; not knowing how to survive. Carrying a friend 15 light lvls below requirements, and someone tripping off ledge to crota, causing wipe. xD I dont remember the last time i had a smooth raid experience lol

I got carried by my clan cuz i couldnt use my sprint button ;) Got a fang and a word Love them both since i used them in year 1

Played with LFG groups and I really can't complain. I had a great time. I got each of the Adept exotics. I got the Deathsinger down in under 2 minutes. I can't wait to dive into VoG!

1 ReplyAbsolute hell. If VoG were not my favourite raid I would have taken a break just to cure the ptsd I now have from the countless clueless teams. Fortunately VoG mechanics are a bit more friendly on the brain
