An appeal to Bungie: Please allow cross-platform account sync
I am a PC / PS4 player. I really don't like playing FPS games on a controller. If we can't have cross-platform play, can we at least create one account and have our Guardians / progress / game state available on both the consoles and PC? I want to play this game on PC so badly, but I also would like to play with my friends (all console players).
Please, Bungie.

3 RepliesAbsolutely! This kind of functionality will increase the player base, across all platforms. Plenty of people do the same thing. I purchased Titanfall on PC and Xbox one to play with friends on all platforms. Better functionality, larger communities, and increased revenue is a no-brainer!

I'm not claiming to be educated on the subject but it sounds like that decision is not bungies call. Sony doesn't make money off console sales it's all software and accessories. No way sony would let ps4 players jump ship. Maybe a windows/xbox thing could happen. But like I said, I could be talking out my ass right now.

I have the same problem as you. I chose my friends over my GTX 1080. But it would be awesome to play the same account on both platforms (fuk, I'll even buy Destine 2 again!)

That will never happen as long as Bungie gives PS4 players exclusive content, which was confirmed again for Destiny 2. You're essentially playing a slightly different version of the game on Xbox & PS4 because one has more/different content than the other.

Yes! I so badly want to play on pc but there's no way I'm leaving my friends behind. I'd be happy with account syncing or cross platform (minus pvp).

Really, Really? The only reason you want to cross sync is to keep pm'ing those that have the mythic emblem to let you sign into their account to get the emblem. Can we get this along with a Nintendo switch port? I feel like that's doable (I would love to sync my xbone, switch, and PC together with progress) Then again it's possible that because Sony is puking money for exclusives, we may never get this as long as Sony is stuck up.

The reason they previously gave for this not happening with the first Destiny was something to do with the grimoire score / PlayStation exclusive items not being transferable to other platforms.

Not likely. At least certainly not with PS4 . One thing. Sony exclusives. It's really all it takes unfortunately..

Wait for further announcements. They can't retroactively make accounts synchronous or start working on it now for release. They've either already planned for it and are in the process of finalizing and testing across all platform services, they couldn't do it for any number of reasons, or they chose not to (maybe for business political reasons). Either way asking for it now is too late.
