I am a PC / PS4 player. I really don't like playing FPS games on a controller. If we can't have cross-platform play, can we at least create one account and have our Guardians / progress / game state available on both the consoles and PC? I want to play this game on PC so badly, but I also would like to play with my friends (all console players).
Please, Bungie.

3 RepliesYes. Because I really want to fight PC players in pvp. It's difficult enough trying to keep up with you try hards. No

1 ReplyI am also a PC/Ps4 player but I think they should keep it all separate. Unless your talking about just characters and not cross platform play.

Bump.

Edited by noahssey: 3/31/2017 7:19:12 AMI can imagine, bungie will provide something similar like Elder Scrolls Online (or Diablo 3, but just for cosmetics) did when it came out for consoles. Your account was mirrored with all your respective chars, gear and progress in general and that was it. You could still play it on both platforms afterwards if you wanted to, but both accounts went separate ways from there on. But being able to jump back and forth from console(s) to PC - I guess that's something that will never happen. For many reasons. PS exclusives, completely different stats (for those who care - and that seems to be a lot people though), possible hacking, smother performance in general on PC especially in PvP(I still doubt, D2 will get 60 fps on consoles) and so on. But ultimately, I guess, you'll end up getting something "very special and distinct" like an emblem, a shader or a sparrow for being a console vet for 3 years and having switched to PC then. That sounds more like Bungie to me :) And since it's a fresh start for all of us and nothing will be brought forward to D2 except maybe emblems, I don't think bungie will put so much effort in it... Such a system would have been more realistic if you could keep all your chars and stuff from D1 in D2.

2 RepliesEdited by BeardedMonstar: 3/31/2017 7:56:55 AMBump!!!!! I've been saying this for a while now, and I hope they fu c kking do it. I'll buy three copies of the game, 1 for each platform, in a blink ! If they do this. It's all in the cloud anyway, so it's pretty ridiculous it's not already a thing.

4 RepliesThis probably wouldn't work because of PS4 exclusives

1 ReplyAccount sync would be a godsend. Casting my vote!

I'd love cross platform. My brother and all his mates have PCs and not many of my mates play destiny so it would be so good if I could just tag along with them in raids and shit
-
You could do that sort of cross platform sync for gta 5 from like 360 to a ps4 so I see no reason why this can't be added, let you play on one account across all platforms but exclusives are only on ps4 still or just don't let you wield them on other platforms
-
1 ReplyDamn.. that would be amazing. I'm getting D2 for both and having a single account would make playing so damn nice.
-
Think gears of war 4 does that right?

4 RepliesEdited by JensBoef: 3/31/2017 11:16:56 AMEDIT: Didn't read the post right. I don't mind cross platform sync.

I dont know about cross play, but id like to have a single Bungie account that can link to xbox, ps, and pc so all guardians progress works on it all. I have ps friends and xbox friends so I play destiny 1 on both. 😑

1 ReplyPlease bungle do this I want to get the PC edition so badly but I don't want to leave my friends behind on console. Make this happen everyone bump this so they can see.
-
10 RepliesAgreed! I have friends on both PS4 and Xbox One. It would be amazing to have a shared Destiny 2 progression between the two platforms.
-
Worked in dcuo. Can't see why not!

I can see challenges of allowing cross platform sync if they allow it on a continuous basis. For example, exclusives not available and whatnot. However, I sound like a cross platform migration option. I am day 1 X1 player, but would like to explore the option of switching to new console for Destiny 2. Heck, I might even be interested in a Destiny 2 PS4 bundle

1 ReplyWouldn't work with timed exclusives
-
2 RepliesThat would kind of ruin Exclusives and Contracts wouldn't it? You know, less money for Bungie... Aint gonna happen, but I like your approach.
-
You are asking the wrong company. Microsoft and Sony do not want to share. They are two different companies looking to increase profits. Unless they merge, it is a mute point. Just business 101.
-
As long as exclusives are a thing it's never going to happen
-
That's not really up to Bungie. If it were, we might already have it with PS4 and Xbox One.

1 ReplyCompetition forbids this

The only platforms it could happen with is PC and Xbox. Sony is like an upset kid in a candy store 24/7.
