I am a PC / PS4 player. I really don't like playing FPS games on a controller. If we can't have cross-platform play, can we at least create one account and have our Guardians / progress / game state available on both the consoles and PC? I want to play this game on PC so badly, but I also would like to play with my friends (all console players).
Please, Bungie.

Only thing I think would really work is if Microsoft would sync Windows 10 and XB1, but that, of course, doesn't help you.
-
Would be really awesome if we could have cross-platform account sync. Look at Epic Games. They made it happen for Paragon.

I want the play anywhere program to get ahold of this! I'm going to play on xbox because it's where all of my friends are, but to be able to jump on to my laptop and seamlessly transition to on the go (or just having that extra power) would be awesome!

Sony won't allow this. Who knows how much money they give Bungie for exclusives..
-
3 RepliesIt is not Bungie's choice. Microsoft has been trying to get Sony to agree to cross-platform, but Sony will not budge. Unless Sony agrees to it, cross-platform would only be possible between Xbox and PC.
-
2 RepliesIt's a new game, none of your gear or emblems etc will come to destiny 2 so don't worry about it
-
1 ReplyHe's saying "account sync" not cross platform play... Think about it this way, would you like to spend hundreds of hours on destiny 2 on your ps4 and then start over entirely on a pc? Didn't think so.
-
I was probably gonna get it on pc as well, I hope they still can sync up since they mentioned stuff for people that played the first one
-
This, so much this.

I could see cross-platform play on PC and Xbox, seeing as that's already going to happen/happening. As for everything however, although I would like to see that, I doubt it will happen. The reason for this is that PS4 has exclusives, and you can't really give exclusives to one console base and not give it to the others while having cross-platform play.

It's probably too late in development for bungie to implement this idea.

Edited by M0WBZ: 3/31/2017 12:37:43 AMI dont think its up to bungo. Having said that, i'd probably go buy a pc and a second copy if it did happrn.

7 RepliesEdited by DarkMythos: 3/31/2017 1:37:07 AMI like that idea, kind of, but it's not Bungie. Your accounts are tied to PSN, Xbox Live, and I still don't want to say Steam because it isn't on there yet. It's not Bungie's decision to make, and I don't really know if it would be entirely possible.

i could see the accounts transfering with xbox and PC but I dont see it with PS4 TBH
-
1 ReplyOP isn't saying cross-play you twats, he's saying to sync accounts between console and PC. That way you can switch consoles and keep your progress.
-
They can't even get dedicated servers for PvP....you want them to allow cross platform sync.

Edited by Redacted1607: 3/31/2017 1:44:48 PMThis would be a huge bonus for Bungie if they could pull it off. Seems like the only issue is how would they lock down the exclusive content when on PC. I for one will main the game on PC as well. Being a alpha player and only playing on PS4 I can honestly say the "exclusive" content was. Meh. I never used the guns and not getting to play a strike.... big deal
-
Never!!!

I would love to use a feature like this. I play on multiple platforms and I think it would be great to go from one to the other. I however don't think it will be a possibility, especially considering that the PS4 will have exclusive content. I could see the Xbox/PC versions playing nice, since I imagine they'll both be on the same roadmap for timed exclusive stuff.

8 RepliesIf PC players could play with console players, I wouldn't buy the game. Same with any other shooter.

Please do this bungie!

4 RepliesAren't Sony doing a thing similar to XB's 'play anywhere' thing where you'd be able to play the PS4 version on a Windows PC?
-
2 RepliesAs long as cross platform with console to pc isn't a thing then fine, but mouse and keyboard with proper sensitivity and 60 fps or even uncapped would be a massive advantage over any console player.
-
3 RepliesYes. Because I really want to fight PC players in pvp. It's difficult enough trying to keep up with you try hards. No
