An appeal to Bungie: Please allow cross-platform account sync
I am a PC / PS4 player. I really don't like playing FPS games on a controller. If we can't have cross-platform play, can we at least create one account and have our Guardians / progress / game state available on both the consoles and PC? I want to play this game on PC so badly, but I also would like to play with my friends (all console players).
Please, Bungie.

Should definitely be Xbox Anywhere. But that might outweigh the pros of PS exclusives so not sure if they'd allow it.

I really want cross platform account sync to. I will be playing on both PC and Xbox and having cross platform accounts would be amazing. It is super easy to do Xbox1 to PC. Thanks to Sony paying for exclusives, having cross platform accounts sadly will likely never happen. You can thank Sony and the stupid exclusives for that.

I play XIV on my PS4, and it's crossplay with PC players (due to it not being hosted on PSN servers). My toon is also playable if buy the PC version as well (which is what you're asking for, not crossplay like everybody seems to think). My point is, the technology is there, obviously. But I highly doubt MS or Sony will allow it.

No. It makes no since for either Microsoft or Sony to basically work together. If that happens games will become complete garbage because there isn't any competition. Look what happen to madden since 2k and NCAA aren't made anymore.

4 RepliesI could see this pretty easily happening Xbox - PC, but not Xbox - PS or PC - PS. Bungie has said in the past that it would be easy on their end to do, but it wasn't up to them. I personally think this would be a good balance. Let PS4 have the exclusives and let Xbox - PC share accounts and/or cross play (although I think PC-Console crossplay in an FPS is not something I'd enjoy being a part of). This prevents the issues of PC getting PS4 exclusives, but also gives the Xbox guys some sort of bauble for their trouble.

Cross platform sync? I doubt it. You will probably have small window of opportunity To migrate an account from time to time for a fee.

Would actually be curious to see how that plays out, cross-platform accessibility and interaction vs time gated exclusives.

I mainly play on Xbox but I would give destiny a try on my PS4 if I can link my account. Because I don't feel like starting over just to play on another platform.

The issue isn't so much the companies wouldn't allow it, that kinda of server maintenance etc is ridiculously complicated. If they do that, I will find you =p
