Mine was just after HOW dropped. I went to the Reef for the first time, walked up to the area where the big door is with the three guards. All of a sudden I heard one of them say, OUTSIDER. I thought, holy shit, Bungie set it up so it calls you by your gamertag!!! Needless to say, they call everybody outsider.
WOW...this got bigger then I expected. See, all of us have had some fun in this game after all.
Edit #2
So everybody knows, I myself am blonde. Well, more grey now but we don't need to go there.

Just wanted to thank everybody for the awesome responses. It proves this community can come together, even if it is only to laugh at each other.

I'm sure it's been said because I know almost everyone has done this at least once. But going to orbit from the tower, only to select tower and fly back there without thinking about it. Then going shit! As you meant to go elsewhere.

Edited by Vividfawn302774: 3/22/2017 10:38:46 AMSpending the first week i had this game running everywhere cos when ghost said my sparrow could take me from one end of the cosmodrome in seconds I thought it was a warp device and I didn't want to miss anything going on. Then I saw someone on a speed bike and got jealous. Spoke to a friend about how to get one (he had the game from day 1, I picked it up well after TDB came out) and he wet himself. Spent the next 3 hours running up and down forgotten shore on my speed bike. Edit: oh and if I see a skip grenade on the floor in PvP I still run into the damn things thinking they're orbs of light. And forever stalking a group of enemies waiting to collect heavy ammo in PvP and jumping up to fist of havok them only to pop a bubble 5 feet away from them.

Doing the winter's run taken strike and getting too close to the big blight in the center then my teammate kept reviving me and I kept dying then both teammates get too close and died. It was pretty awesome.
-
Jumping out of bounds to get an engram and dying because I couldn't get back. Didn't know the stuff would end up at post master if I went to orbit.

3 RepliesI kept calling a warlock's "Sun Singer" "Sun Slinger" because of hunter's "Gun Slinger"

3 RepliesStarted playing just after tdb. My mate who was a beta player comes patrolling with me. Into the cosmodrone we go and he tells me there are 3 hive gods down this way if you kill them you get the best weapon in the game. Totally buzzing i run down the steps round the corner into darkness. I slow down as they appear on radar and ask him why they have ?? As there lvl. He tells me cause there gods. Anywho. I launch my grenade fire my rocket, launch my super and die instantly. Good ten mins go by before he unmutes his mic and hysterical puts me out of my misery. Prick.lol

Deleting a god roll pulse because it was really ugly on screen. During pulse meta.

My first blonde moment was when I ran VoG with a lfg group. I had beat it a few times with friends but never ran the relic. First time without them i had to use it and didn't know how to activate the bubble. Luckily we had a good group and they showed me the light. Never messed that up again lol

Thinking scanning the remains in the loot cave triggered the public event......oh boy.

Had a small tv, thought that shanks were called sharks and thought the kings fall weapons cocoon said when slowed, not stowed. So my idiot self goes around trying to figure out how slow I need to move to instantly reload my weapons. Those people in strikes and patrols were probably all sorts of confused.

Year1, Crota raid heading into the crystal room to kill Ir Yut when suddenly my hunter disappears. Me: "What?........How did I die?........Oh, I'm not dead, I'm invisible!.........Oh, now I'm dead!" as the thrall behind me finished off what he started. I was on Gunslinger and forgot I hadn't taken my Don't Touch Me off! Later in the same raid a friend who'd been a titan since day 1 said he'd put up the bubble at Crota as usual. So as I pick up the sword he leaps into position, hits his super and says; "um, sorry guys, I'm on the wrong character!" as his newly made hunter gets wrecked. It was an interesting raid!

5 RepliesNot realising ToM was a full auto scout for about 2 months!

1 ReplyAfter a long night of raiding and buzzing pretty hard I walked up to Master Rahool to hand in the row of legendary engrams I thought I had. I proceeded to spam the button as usual, except this time it was on the engrams he was selling, and all my legendary marks were gone instantly. It was also a few days before Iron Banner as well.

Te first week of Destiny I thought I had an ice sniper -- nope it was arc.

Buying it

Forgetting to get skeleton keys out of the vault while in the tower then having to wait forever to fly back.

I've been playing battlefield 1 quite a bit, sometimes I attempt to spot enemies in destiny pvp by pressing R1 and end up throwing empty melees, to the bewilderment of my opponents I assume. I also swap my L1 with X so I can jump with bumper (I don't like the controller options provided in destiny) and sometimes throw a grenade when I mean to jump and vice-versa.

1 ReplyUsed to play on a crappy TV, and I have pretty bad eyesight, I couldn't read the names right, so I thought "Dregs" were called "Doug", and "Shanks" were called "Sharks". So I was always like "Die Doug! Keep those Sharks away from me!" I bought a new TV and my entire world changed.

Before the vanguard quartermaster sold planetary materials, he bought planetary materials. I would go and sell all my mats and use the marks I received to buy stuff from Vendors. Never saw the patch notes saying they were going to reverse the process. Walk up to the QM and start spamming A button thinking I'm selling all my spinmetal to get lots of marks. After I quickly lose all my marks and obtain even more spinmetal I realized the gravity of my oversight. Silly Bungie. That was shady.

Mine was thinking that heavy synths would work in PVP... I didn't read before trying.

-Day 1 playing -Fresh off the boat... or ship rather doing Restoration -Sees red on radar, goes and kills enemies -"I'll clear this area (The Steppes) before moving on." Like a traditional game -More red shows up and I hunt them down. -Enemies appear where I had just been and so I kill them again -15 minutes of killing the same guys over and over I realize they're infinitely respawning -blam!-ing idiot me 3 years ago.

4 RepliesIt was when I thought TTK was worth the money.

1 ReplyEdited by jloveless01: 3/22/2017 2:16:25 AMWhen I first started the game, played solely as a warlock. I didnt have any clue as to the other abilities for a hunter or titan. I was in my first raid (KF, I stayed away from raiding for a long time) playing as you guessed it, a warlock. Everyone was talking about weapons of light vs blessings. I honestly thought they were guns that I was missing out on. I kept asking what they were... *crickets* Pretty sure everyone in the group looked at me, silently saying, "Poor warlock." I swear I saw a hunter tilt his head in confusion. Early in the game right after you gain your super ability... wondered what orbs were, and why I couldn't pick up/see the orbs I created. Thought I was being cheated. Or I wasn't leveled high enough to use them. Trying not to take all the ammo/engrams for myself. Thinking I could eventually kill enemies with ???'s solo. As long as I didn't give up I would succeed. Right? What's the definition of insanity... ^^^ this guy.

3 RepliesMy blonde moment? Using sunsinger in current game.

I bought 20 legacy engrams at the start of TTK because I thought they were regular exotic engrams.

1 ReplyWhen I first started playing Destiny. I thought the Orbs of Light was for the entire team so at times I wouldn't pick it up cuz I didn't want to take the teammates orbs of lights lol
