Can't find answer in grimoire, but in a crucible match do we actually kill other guardians for practice or what?

It is live-fire, so yes, Guardians do die, but the one rule that keeps them from permanently dying is that Ghosts cannot be destroyed in matches. If the Ghost was destroyed, then Guardians would be permanently killed.

Imagine it like a gladiator arena, Guardians compete without destroying each other's ghosts (except that one time with Dredgen Yor and Thalor) so it is safe. It is a live fire practice, so yes we do die, but are revived.

Edited by Evertill: 3/13/2017 2:18:38 PMIt's like in Norse Mythology. Valkyries (ghosts) choose from the bravest dead warriors(guardians) and bring them to Vallhalla (the city) To fight each other, killing them, slaughtering each other over and over(the Crucible) only to be revived by and feast with Odin(traveler?) every day in preparation to serve in the battle of Ragnarok, where the Gods will wage war on one another - laying waste to the realm of man and killing most of each other in the process. Basically.

5 RepliesWe do kill each other, but we do not destroy each other's Ghosts so it's perfectly safe as long as Ghosts don't stray away from their Guardians

7 RepliesYes we do dear, it's live weapon practice.
