So this could be a guide for Auto Rifles and I got all the pre patch damage numbers and I used my math skills for the after February 2017 patch numbers. Note: all Auto Rifles get their precision damage multiplier increased to 1.3 (before 1.25) and the slow rate of fire ones get their base damage increased but the after patch numbers maybe are false but I used the new genesis chain numbers and compared it to the old numbers and used math on the other archetypes!
High rof low impact:
Doctrine of passing, Necrochasm, assembly II, Soulstealers claw
Pre patch:
Precision damage 15
Bodyshot damage 12
Before the patch this archetype needed 14 headshots to kill a guardian or 17 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk this archetype only needed 10 headshots and 4 bodyshots (198 damage)
After patch:
Precision damage 16
Bodyshot damage 12
After patch you need 13 headshots to kill a guardian or 17 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 8 headshots 6 bodyshots (200 damage)
Necrochasm with aggressive ballistics after patch:
Precision damage 17
Bodyshot damage 13
After patch this gun only needs 12 headshots to kill a guardian or 16 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 7 headshots and 6 bodyshots (197 damage)
This archetype now kills faster and is easier to use for the best ttk stats and the necrochasm is the strongest weapon of this archetype but sees no usage cuz frozen in y1.
Mid rof mid impact:
Monte Carlo, zhalo supercell, hard light, extremophile 011, Vision stone, Fabian strategy, red spectre
Pre patch:
Precision damage 20
Bodyshot damage 16
Pre patch you needed 10 headshots to kill a guardian or 13 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only needed 9 headshots and 1 bodyshots but the damage numbers were only good against hunters (196 damage)
After patch:
Precision damage 21
Bodyshot damage 16
After patch you only need 10 headshots to kill a guardian or 13 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 8 headshots and 2 bodyshots (200 damage)
Monte Carlo and zhalo supercell after patch with aggressive ballistics:
Precision damage 22
Bodyshot damage 17
After patch you only need 9 headshots to kill a guardian or 12 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 7 headshots and 3 bodyshots (205 damage)
Hard light after patch with aggressive ballistics and glass half full:
Precision damage 22 or with ghf 23
Bodyshot damage 17 or with ghf 18
After patch you only need 9 headshots to kill a guardian or 11 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 7 headshots and 2 bodyshots (197 damage) all with glass half full
This archetype gets so much more consistent and you have more of a chance to get the best ttk stats and the 3 exotics could be the best ones out there in that archetype.
Low rof high impact:
Suros Regime, Genesis Chain, Shadow price, grim citizen, zero day dilemma
Pre patch without Focused Fire:
Precision damage 26
Bodyshot damage 21
Pre patch this archetype needed 8 headshots to kill a guardian or 10 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only needed 6 headshots and 2 bodyshots (198 damage)
Pre patch with focused fire:
Precision damage 33
Bodyshot damage 26
Pre patch you only needed 6 headshots to kill a guardian or 8 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you needed 6 headshots (198 damage)
After patch without focused fire:
Precision damage 27
Bodyshot damage 22
After patch you only need 8 headshots to kill a guardian or 9 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 6 headshots and 2 bodyshots (206 damage)
After patch with focused fire:
Precision damage 35
Bodyshot damage 27
After patch you only need 6 headshots to kill a guardian or 8 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 5 headshots 1 bodyshot (202 damage)
Suros Regime with damage boosting ballistics and focused fire pre patch:
Precision damage 35
Bodyshot damage 27
Pre patch you only needed 6 headshots to kill a guardian or 8 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only needed 5 headshots 1 bodyshot (202 damage)
Suros Regime with damage boosting ballistics and focused fire after patch:
Precision damage 36 or 37
Bodyshot damage 28
After patch you only need 6 headshots to kill a guardian or 7 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 4 headshots and 2 bodyshots (with 37 damage 204 damage) (with 36 damage 200 damage) the Suros legacy increases the damage numbers heavily but I don't have the numbers pre patch or after patch.
This archetype gets so much more consistent and the Suros regime may be the top tier Auto rifle because it will have the same numbers like in year 1 before the great nerf (the feb 2015 nerf not the precision damage multiplier nerf from sometime in 2014) and maybe better numbers if 37 precision damage.
Now you think "hmm Autos still aren't that great" but with the buff to in air accuracy and precision damage multiplier and base damage (low rof) they got so much more consistent and the exotic auto rifles are so much stronger. The reason Why auto rifles were never used was because they were so inconsistent but now every gun got its damage increased and maybe kill with 1 shot faster or 2 headshots less. Strafe with auto rifles and play gunslinger for much more stability;) and with the "optimal ttk" I don't mean the fastest way to kill cuz the fastest way is only headshots but the easiest way to get a kill with the same after patch ttk or some pre patch numbers! So with all the numbers Auto Rifles got so much more consistent and they are so much more easier to use! Top tier Autos could be:
1. Suros Regime
2. Monte Carlo
3. Zhalo supercell
4. Hard light
5. Vision stone
6. HIGH rate of fire with god roll
Hope this helped you all and it was so much fun to find out the numbers ;) have fun!

Thanks you so much for this list, buddy! I really love autos and I really hope that this patch will make them viable again. Also, its time to get that Galahad-E out of my vault if anyone still remembers that haha

2 RepliesFast firing primaries have been the meta in the past year and a half. It's been Hawksaw, Doctrine, Grasp of Malok, Multi-tool, and basically permenately Last Word. Slow firing, high-impact/accurate primaries need to be brought back up from whatever hell the were abandoned in. Pulse Rifles, Autos, Scouts, even Hand Cannons are outclassed by spray-n-pray weapons much more often than vice-versa.

1 ReplyI'm going to love me some 33s. Bringing it back from the Nirwen's meta.
-
1 ReplyPoor fabian stragety

Got some time on your hands don't you.
-
1 ReplyThanks for the time you put into this. The only thing I know id CD will have less impact and rate if fire than the hawksaw.
-
1 ReplySuros regime is great with gunslingers trance. It hits hard and after this update it will hit harder...but it kicks like a bitch.
-
2 RepliesSo hardly any?
-
4 RepliesWhat is a high rate of fire God roll auto?
-
3 RepliesSuper excited to see my autos do one(1) whole more damage point. Awesome. Just great.

3 RepliesWow, it seems like you put a lot of effort into this. Thanks for the info! Just one thing, can you confirm these numbers for me:
Low rof high impact: Suros Regime, Genesis Chain, Shadow price, grim citizen, zero day dilemma Pre patch without Focused Fire: Precision damage 26 Bodyshot damage 21 Pre patch this archetype needed 8 headshots to kill a guardian or 10 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only needed 6 headshots and 2 bodyshots (198 damage) ... After patch without focused fire: Precision damage 27 Bodyshot damage 22 After patch you only need 8 headshots to kill a guardian or 9 bodyshots but for the optimal ttk you only need 6 headshots and 2 bodyshots (206 damage)
The optimal ttk for those weapons isn't changed at all? Even though the body shot ttk goes down?

2 RepliesI'm pretty sure they said the damage buffs and headshot multipliers will only affect the highest impact auto rifles. Other archetypes will be left unchanged.
-
3 RepliesGood stuff. Thanks for posting.
-
1 ReplyI already run hardlight, I'll slide in well primary wise.

1 ReplyThanks for all these numbers. I really love auto rifles and I'm excited to try them out after this upcoming patch. It's nice to know what they'll all be hitting for.
