Hey there PvP community! One question fo' ya.
Do you guys have to sweat your butts off EVERY SINGLE TIME you enter the PvP arena?? Would it KILL you to run anything besides Matador/Palindrome/Eyesluna??
In all seriousness guys let me know below, do you ever get bored running the same loadouts over and over and over again?
P.S. respect to all you fusion rifle-rs out there

EDIT: I can totally understand you guys wanting to play to win, especially for trials. Here's a follow up question - do you mix it up in control, clash, etc.? It's not like you have to win in those playlists, I play those to have fun rather than win.

I go sweaty mostly, almost always with my Harrowed Midha's Reckoning paired with Outbreak Prime, No Time To Explain, or Harrowed Anguish of Drystan. But i do sonetimes throw in the Zeal Vector.

I use whatever I enjoy to use. It's absolutely my fault if I do well with it. There are people out there who go double neg, even with a clever and a matador. That goes for any meta weapon actually. ~[i]TheGreatNike[/i]

Some matches, I feel like running a hand cannon. -Hawkmoon, Lingering Song, Ill Will, etc. Some matches, I feel like running a pulse rifle. -Hawksaw, Nirwen's Mercy, Hopscotch Pilgrim, etc. Some matches, I feel like running a scout rifle. -Not Like The Others, Colovance's Duty, Cocytus SR4, etc. All matches, I run fusion rifles, everytime. I use every single one of them. No shame in my fusion game!

I don't understand how this comes up as much as it does. My crucible time seems to see people running with obvious meta choices somewhere around 50% of opponents I pay attention to. I've don't see the overwhelming numbers others seem to mention in the forums. I wonder if we're just paying attention to different scenarios? Regardless, in any game when a meta tilts too far it becomes easier to actually play a specific anti-meta that only truly works with a dominant meta in play, that can be fun too if you can find it.

I kill with dregs promise...yes my K/d isn't great, but I just -blam!-ing killed your side,spam shotgun ass with the worst gun in the game. I'll keep my bad K/d along with the pride that I delete every matador that drops, even that one with reinforced barrel and rangefinder

Ive been using similar weapons since the very start, used to be a hawkmoon and felwinters in year 1 and now the eyasluna and the matador. It's how I've been playing for ages, I change my set up in game modes like mayhem or on big maps but in most cases I stick to what I've been using since release.

wow dude! i sure just changed my ways and now im gonna go into rumble and use a Continental and a Teacup Tempest. it made me want to jump off a bridge and i didnt enjoy myself at all, but i did it anyway because im not gonna be a meta piece of shit! thanks forum guy! #buffFusions #nerfmatador #nerfcleverdragon utterly braindead. if you don't like it maybe you should get an eyasluna and matador and use them. if you don't want to do that then shut up.

Meta is a stupid idea if you're not at the top of the heap. The beauty of SBMM is that whatever loadout you run, after about 10-15 games you will be in a lobby where you can compete with this loadout. Simple as that.

Easiest path to victory, dude. I like winning. Also, margin for error goes up when using the meta so it's actually a lot less sweaty if you use CD/Matador than anything else.

only sweat in trials. Half the time. Everytime I'm in normal crucible you'll see me pulling out year 1 guns

4 RepliesI look at it like this - I was lucky enough to get a god roll CD, so I should show it to all those less fortunate than me. The best way to do this is to blast them in the face with it, that way they get to see it highlighted in the top right of their screen for a few seconds, allowing them the chance to get a screen grab if necessary. I'm just selflessly performing a public service, really.

I do use none meta weapon and builds like auto rifle, sidearm and solar grenade lock, the thing is it's harder to win with these and less fun.

Not all meta users are sweats, but most sweats (have to) use the meta.

Many people have used the best weapons for so long that they can't use anything else.

I refuse to use meta. Cheap tactics. I could careless about kd this and that. Have fun try new things and enjoy gsme while it still has some life in it.

When I played I used the best weapons available. I didn't want to try hard and put myself at a disadvantage. The only thing sweaty about this game is the matchmaking. Matching me with people around my skill level compromising the quality of connections.

Got yourself a dusty SUROS Regime? Gonna pair that shit with the first sidearm I touch and head off. That old First Curse hasn't seen the light of day since you got it? Let's see if it pairs as well with a sniper as it's brother TLW does. Maybe you've even got yourself a Hawkmoon that last tore up the crucible when Oryx wasn't even a threat (which is arguably never). Well, I say take that thing and show your new, shiny Thesan from last armsday what Y1 looked like. It's really whatever I'd choose to use. Maybe I'd even grab myself one of those pulse archetypes that aren't good for anything to pair with a Plan C, or even grab some of my go to PvE loadouts to see how that does in PvP (Bad Juju and the raid shotgun went pretty well, and that raid MG holds like 1½ spare clips, which was like Y1 all over again.) Point is, I'd like the rest of the community to buy into a "if it's gathering dust, it's a must" mindset. Show a couple of old favorites a bit of love, man. You'll find every kill more satisfying when you just know the guy you just killed is at home going "WTF!!!111!! WHO EVEN USES THAT ANYMORE KID GTFO".
