So the house ran out of internet for a few days and I decided in boredom to take out my gamecube and dust it off. One of my old favorite games was metroid prime but I never finished it. Plugging it back in, I loved the old puzzles and mechanics. I also found out a lot of inspiration and ideas for most sci fi or futuristic shooters probably came from this game. Space pirates are essentially fallen with a science lab, and pretty much any sci fi "space pirate" character. A couple versions of them fly with a jet pack and "rain justice from above". Now I have the magmoor caverns song stuck in my head.
