Stop trying to speed run strikes.
Do you idiots not realize that strike scoring is a thing and every kill/medal counts.
I left several strikes last night because jackwagons were just running through, racing past throngs of enemies.
I like the new scoring system, I hate that people don't understand how it works.
Edit: I can usually tell how it's going to be by the first group of enemies in the patrol areas. If someone runs through without firing a shot, I'm out. They can two man it.
Edit 2: What's even funnier, it I get a strike that has loot I actually want, I will hang back killing everything and watch the speed runners die over and over and usually catch them by the time they get to the first actual encounter section.
Bungie needs to tie Vanguard rep to Tiers.
Bronze tier- 30 rep
Silver tier- 60 rep
Gold tier- 120 rep

3 RepliesIf you leave because people dont kill stuff in the patrol spawn then your probably too soft to be doing strikes. If you're dipping that early in strikes then you are part of the problem, but at least you leave early enough to be replaced with someone useful. If i get matchmade with you feel free to leave. Im not gonna waste time killing things in the patrol area. I'll get the gold without u by casually playing through the strike. Unless you got a bounty, then scores and medals dont do jack for you. Nobody is bragging about how many rainbow medals they got

The beginning patrol adds? Really? If someone passes that they're "speedrunning" the strike? For a lack of better words, that's dumb. The beginning patrol adds mean nothing, and they just skip over them because they aren't part of the strike.

Not gonna "take my time" on a strike I've literally done a hundred times. Those first few enemies in patrol aren't going to add a whole lot to the score. Just do the damn strike.

That rep part would be cool because it would give another reason to do strikes in the first place. But no one really cares about medals unless they're doing bounties pretty much. I mostly do them out of boredom and just run them with a friend sometimes because there isn't much to get out of them. But that Tier=Rep System sounds really cool and I would definitely enjoy them more knowing I can be rewarded in a more decent way for sticking around so long on a single strike

I have run every strike in this game forwards, backwards, even upside down. Running through strikes given this strike scoring system makes little to no difference in the overall medal count by the time the strike is completed. You do realize that there's a time bonus for NF right? That's reason to accomplish the NF strike as quickly as possible. For both Heroics and Siva Crisis strikes running or sparrowing through to the actual encounters is not hurting your individual scoring. Honestly I think you need to reassess the way you play this game if players running through strikes is upsetting you.

3 RepliesI can assure you, players like myself are not speed running to be a jerk. I like to think of each strike as a target to eliminate being done low key assassin style. I will go with the flow from time to time; but I will never try to get kills on patrol zones as it is not part of the objective passed down from upstairs.

You play Destiny to get loot. The quickest way to get loot in strikes is by speedrunning. Deal with it

It's not that we don't understand how it works, we just don't care. If it's something like the Nexus, the only thing I will target in the starting area is the two hobgoblins just for being in my way. Loot doesn't correlate to score, only the bounties do, and those should've been done a while ago. This late in the week, nobody really gives a shit. Some people also just want to get strikes done quickly while getting a decent amount of loot. Stop getting so salty.

Just speed run the damn strike and move on to the next. Some you hit gold on and others you don't. You get more loot and exp for speed running strikes. Fur the tone it takes you to complete a strike I bet I could run 2.
