Hopefully this is the appropriate section to post this... I'm wondering what people think of defender titans in pvp. I'm thinking about trying it in pvp for the first time because they seem like a lot of fun. I imagine they can do pretty well in most 6v6 formats (especially control, rift ect), but can they truly be competitive in trials compared to striker?
What are people's preferred equips? NBP seems most appealing to me for exotic armor slot, but extra nade or TG are options as well. Weapon slots? Preferred stats? Any tips from experienced defender titans?
Thanks

Yay another bubble bro 💪💜...it's takes some u$ed to but I think it's alot more tactical and intimidating when you master it...what I do is have glass house, blessing, suppressor nade, control lift, unstoppable, (depending if the enemy team has twitchy super freaks who love popping bubbles) gift of the void or bastion, and untouchable...this build is for more team support simply place your bubble somewhere where your teamates pass through like a high traffic area and they'll pick up the buff and run meanwhile you just have over watch of the bubble and general traffic area, eventually you'll build up your super fast and redeploy again 💜👍the suppressor nade is hard to master but great when you do finally master it...when a group of enemies crowd up throw it to prevent them and discourage them from fighting you (also prvents them from skating or jumping away lol) or when you here an enemy super just lob it near there feat and bam 0.0 mega troll mode lol....but the offensive bubble bros use the shotties,NBP and suppressor(also good is the felwinter artifact which gets rid of your super but gives you more melee and nade👍) but really it all depends on the situation...if long map use support method, maybe cheese snipe 😂💜👍if you feel like a troll, close range be aggressive shotty and mid range use blessings...come up with your playstyle and own it bro!

I've mained Defender since I hit level 15 year 1. It's a lot of fun in crucible and I have a blast. For some reason Bubbles really throw people off and they make bad decisions while challenging you I recommend checking out "Destiny Fun Police" on YouTube for some really awesome Defender PvP game play.

They are the fun police. Get in a group with 6 all running supression grenade with armormantarium and watch as your enemies slowly ragequit.

1 ReplyDefender Titans are trash, don't even bother with them.
-
2 RepliesThanks for all the input guys. I've been trying it out and having a blast. Ran Universal remote, sniper, NBP, and suppressors with a defender titan buddy on control and we were unstoppable. So much fun. Haven't had a chance to try it in 3vs3. Also realized that I don't have felwinter yet... So I'll have to wait until it comes around again.

1 ReplyIt's a good subclass, but the way the super works is a little broken. With all other supers you need to get kills to make orbs, but defender just makes 2 automatically. On top of that, if you are running the perk that makes more orbs when your bubble takes damage, when the other team destroys it and you live, another 3 orbs are made. That's just my opinion tho
-
1 ReplyI don't play titan, but: Mag nades, No Backups, Universal Remote, Sidearm
-
2 RepliesTitan is my least-played class, especially in pvp. But when I do, I use defender with WoL and suppression grenades and I usually go with armamemamemamemtarium. Paired with a high-impact scout/handcannon and a fusion, I usually have a blast.
-
2 Replieswhen i see a defender, i put on my peregrine grieves and shoulder charge.. ohhh baby im waiting for that bubble
-
From what I get, the subclass is brutal in skilled hands and with the right build, but less than ideal otherwise.
-
Add No Back Up Plans, the Universal Remote, a good sniper, and profit.
-
Very good for trials while sniping. I recommended checking out keonelehua's stream, he mains defender titan while sniping with devils dawn and plays sweats and trials carries with that.
-
4 RepliesUniversal remote, no backup plans, memory of felwinter, suppressor grenades, and spec for force barrier. enjoy

I have had mixed success with defender in PvP, against lesser skilled people I have dominated. I even had decent success against higher level guys but the high level guys will adapt and find a way to get you. Which is why they are good in the first place. I truthfully don't take PvP seriously so I experiment with different loadouts and builds to see what works. Lots of silly stuff but occasionally things will work

1 ReplyYou will get smashed by any decent team if you use defender. IDC what people say, if you bring that POS into a 3v3 or less environment, you've already lost. Some kids will tell me I just don't have the skill to use it, well that's not the case, been a Titan main since crota dropped and bubbles always been bad.

Edited by Predaking: 12/30/2016 5:49:42 PMArmamentarium is the largest must I cannot stress it enough (Im giving you my Defender setup) Nades usually people go for Suppresors but If you got a good arm like me go for Mag Nades, they blow twice each and if you throw a little off they will track the enemy. For a control or rift go for blessing of Light or Armor of light anything else Weapons you also want Bastion, along with Unbreakable, Increased control Plus Max armor and Recovery you can get. I have yet to unlock the last 2 perks( Illuminated and Titan Codex 6, but I wont be using them either) use untouchable and get a max discipline and Strength, I honestly work harder to not have grenades than to have them,. Cant go wrong with that setup. I also use Continental, Occam's Razor and Abbadon, but that a personal choice, Dissembly required and the Khvostov are also good choices. My Armamentarium also gives More armor when using void so...

Defender is very good for competitive play. I went flawless for the first time using the defender subclass.
-
Armamentarium x2 supressor grenades WoL whatever floats your boat for weapons i use a high impact scout and a fusion rifle defender main in pvp
-
I find it fun to run the Felwinters artifact with NBP and a shotty. Two suppressors, two meele and all the overshields. Suppress everything.
-
Defender is OP if you play it right. You have grenades that take away all abilities and supers away as soon as it hits. It's absolutely nasty with all of the buffs it gives and can really make you and your teammates have a massive advantage.
-
Look up the Destiny Fun Police on YouTube. That guy will be your role model for defender titans XD
-
4 RepliesIt was ban in sweats cause no one knew how to counter them it's a really good class
-
Magnetic grenades, bastion, shotgun, alpha lupi. Get you some glass needles and roll for void armor and int/disc. That's all you need to know.
-
I use suppressor grenades and use Saint 14 + bubble to close off small hallways
-
Wait for mayhem to come back and use it then. That's all I run during mayhem....primary doesn't matter, use a shotgun if you like them and grab your sword for heavy...make sure to use suppressors with armoritium. You'll be virtually unstopable....and an orb MACHINE...
-
I tend to use magnetic or suppression grenades and whatever weapons and armor (usually queen's gear) I feel like using at the time. I also tend to use my bubble more as bait. Placing it in a spot were they can see the bubble, but not all of it can bait out someone looking for an easy kill with their super and leaves them open, especially if you have weapons of light. Pairing this type of playstyle with suppression grenades can eliminate a number of supers (given the suppression grenades actually do their job).
