The movement speeds are what make this game unique in PVP....
..and PLAYABLE in PvE.
In Titanfall, players move at speeds that put Guardians to shame. But no one complains about balance problems in either game. Why?
Because Respawn allows the games weapons to kill quickly to match the speed at which players can move. So 1v1 gunfights are conclusive....and players get punished for losing situational awareness, and getting flanked.
Whereas in THIS game. Once you start playing people in about the top 1/3 of the draw....most primary gunfights are inconclusive. Unless BOTH parties agree to stay and fight to the end; someone makes a mistake, or someone is getting team-shot......O.8 seconds gives that player an ETERNITY to realize that he's losing a fight, and run away to safety....
...or turn the tables on the person who intiailly had the advantage.
That's why people run around and spam shotguns. Shotguns (surprise, surprise)...KILL QUICKLY ENOUGH TO SHUT DOWN ANY "COUNTERPLAY". Thus preserving the advantage of the player who has the initiative.
So the question isn't whether you want a quick TTK or not. But HOW do you want that quick TTK served up? By a OHK special weapon.....or by a fast killing multi-shot weapon.
Your choice. But you're going to get one or the other.
