1. K/D is meaningless in a situation where there is stringent SBMM. Because if you're playing people who are just as good as you are, you're going to eventually wind up with a k/d of about 1.0 and a W/L of about 50%. 2. By Destinytracker, I'm about a top 25% player...with a K/D of about 1.09 and monthlies in the about the 1.25 range. With yesterdays MM changes, my games got NOTICEABLY easier. Until prime time for the West Coast, I think the lowest K/D I had in IB rift yesterday was a 1.54 . When the West Coast did log in----and I usually start to see my numbers drop as result----all the happened was that I started putting up the 1.2s and 1.07s that I normally do. 3. Point? The Bell Curve. As a Top 25% player my K/D I was being largely matched against other people in the top quarter to third of the community....whom I largely played to stand still. NOW I'm getting matched against more players from the lower end of the skill curve....and I'm putting up a LOT of 2s and 3s now. I think they implemented the changes in IB WITH the start of IB....because I put up a 37 kill game playing as a SOLO player in Rift that first night. Which IIRC is a personal best. So flip that around----and as Bungie warned----players at the lower end of the skill curve are going to start seeing a lot more people like me (and better)-----and many of them are not going to find that very fun. Like I said when this whole situation got started. Changes wouldn't FIX the game's MM problems. It would just SHIFT which part of the community gets stuck with dealing with them....and what we may find out is that the lower skilled players may not show here to complain. They don't have Twitch streams and YT channels as platforms from which to complain. They are more likely just to walk out of the Crucible and not come back....and like Trials....the population just suddenly finds itself shrinking as weaker players get driven out.

I'm guessing this is exactly what will happen. Not to mention unless the player base makes a miraculous recovery lag is still going to be a serious problem.
