Truth be told I'm not against SBMM system but ...
Do you try to force players into a 50% win/loss ratio?
Nope. As we’ve stated, your personal performance is a factor in the Guardians you end up confronting in battle, but we do nothing to artificially influence win streaks or alter individual player statistics
Ummmm 😒
Yea, I'm a bit skeptical
RNGesus blesses you with a competent team that doesn't try to cap three points...
BREAK IT UP
RnGesus curses you with suicidal shotgun warriors that took an oath to not touch a primary...
BREAK IT UP
I seriously can't think of any reason that mechanic exists OTHER than to try to artificially manipulate your win/loss
It doesn't speed up matchmaking
It's not finding a better connection
It is ONLY trying to make the matches closer
And even then it screws that up
I've had it kick me from a team, put me in a match that's in the process of getting mercy ruled, lose, break that team up, place me in another match that's almost over, lose, break that up...
How is that helpful to anyone?
I'm calling BS on Bungie's newest explanation.
Breaking up teams is definitely placing SBMM over all other factors.
Like I said, I'm not against SBMM in general.
Just don't fart in the room and blame it on the dog. I can feel the vibration through the couch for Christ sake.
EDIT: And for further readings of Shenanigans...

4 RepliesYou wanna run again with the same losers that got you mercy ruled?

The reason they deny win loss manipulation is it is clearly manipulation and a bitter poison that even if they do it and likely they do it is something that can't really be admitted as it is outright rigging a good player to fail in many cases which doesn't set will with players even though it clearly takes place.

1 ReplyI don't think they intend to force it,it's just a side effect of good sbmm. Just IMO.Of course I don't know their minds, but I hated when we'd win a match because a team of randoms all defended zones,etc..then it would break yubreakp up thr the teams and I'd get thrown into a group that all split up to go kill everything. Opposite of that,my team kept getting stomped by a team of snipers the other day,and yet they kept throwing us into matches with them.I think we were just the only people playing or something.

4 RepliesAnd why break the teams up.. just shuffle them around to the next match. Only time they should break, is when a full stack pub stomp a team of randoms.

4 RepliesI'm calling bs on the 50% win/loss. I played 4 rumble matches last night (more than I can usually handle) and of those I only won 2. The first match was a loss due to 3 players having a mysterious lag advantage over me at every encounter. They were green bar, btw. Second match I won, by 5-6 kills, third match I lost by 10 points BUT I had more kills than the guy who beat me. And finally the last match I won, but all the players were NO WHERE near as sweaty as the previous 3 games. Playing them just felt awkward. So after seeing that post by Bungie, I disagree with it. And don't get me started on 6v6........

2 RepliesSucks doesn't it? Never been a fan of bungie breaking up a team that plays so darn well together. Breaking up that bad team that got curb stomped? Yes, you're doing those poor saps a favor.
-
They've had people in the past say their goal is to have people sit at a 50% win ratio. So uhh yep. I get stomped in a match and then they break teams up and I get put into a game in progress that's already losing... it's great.

Edited by wex: 11/18/2016 2:11:10 PMALRIGHT! ALRIGHT! BREAK IT UP!

2 RepliesHalf the time it says it does that I immediately get matched with the same people
