Truth be told I'm not against SBMM system but ...
Do you try to force players into a 50% win/loss ratio?
Nope. As we’ve stated, your personal performance is a factor in the Guardians you end up confronting in battle, but we do nothing to artificially influence win streaks or alter individual player statistics
Ummmm 😒
Yea, I'm a bit skeptical
RNGesus blesses you with a competent team that doesn't try to cap three points...
BREAK IT UP
RnGesus curses you with suicidal shotgun warriors that took an oath to not touch a primary...
BREAK IT UP
I seriously can't think of any reason that mechanic exists OTHER than to try to artificially manipulate your win/loss
It doesn't speed up matchmaking
It's not finding a better connection
It is ONLY trying to make the matches closer
And even then it screws that up
I've had it kick me from a team, put me in a match that's in the process of getting mercy ruled, lose, break that team up, place me in another match that's almost over, lose, break that up...
How is that helpful to anyone?
I'm calling BS on Bungie's newest explanation.
Breaking up teams is definitely placing SBMM over all other factors.
Like I said, I'm not against SBMM in general.
Just don't fart in the room and blame it on the dog. I can feel the vibration through the couch for Christ sake.
EDIT: And for further readings of Shenanigans...

Thank you, Guardian, for giving me a well-needed laugh! 😂

Lmao "Suicidal Shotgun Warriors"

Guess I'm killing myself 50 times a game

4 RepliesEdited by Stari: 11/19/2016 6:13:46 PMDo you really believe that you were so better then the other team? Then you should see the other team's perspective. Have been in such teams and i can tell you this: Players from the other team can't damage you, you see them earier on your screen......but still they stay in the game for the rewards. Nothing else. Bungie knows that 1 team had a big connection advantage, so they break up those teams. With dedicated servers Bungie would never break up those teams ;)
-
4 RepliesGuys they usually mix the two teams together. Some from the winners from the losers that way it's more even
-
That point about being chucked in a game half way thru already losing.... Break it up..n repeat. That shit drives me crazy. Always in iron banner as well
-
Truth be told I'm not against but... Just don't fart in the room and blame it on the dog. I can feel the vibration through the couch for Christ sake.
I lost it there hahaha

2 RepliesBungie doesn't think that we are capable of holding triangle after a match if we don't like the lobby.
-
"Instead of mixing those teams up, we're just going to throw everybody back into the matchmaking pool to ensure that everyone enters a match that is already lost. If you're not in a Fireteam, -blam!- You."
-
I mainly get it on blowout games, but only when my team wins
-
If someone is doing very well it very badly (because they ended up in a lobby full of people if lower or higher skill) then it could put them in a lobby that is more appropriate to their skill level
-
5 RepliesDid you ever think it's ment to balance lobbies, so that they are not completely 1 sided? If the scores are close enough at the end of the match then the lobby isn't broken up at all. But if the score is wide enough to say one team stomped the other one or got s mercy rule, then it is broken up to balance the lobby so the teams are not one sided
-
yeah its more than annoying, found a team that is not entirely made of left thumbed monkeys? break it up.. ! you loose by several sea miles away from any coast: yeah better keep that team.. -.- even when you have a good fireteam the system initially wants to break you down... (well check BdobbinsFTW videos about sbmm and why lag is "good" for the skillgap.. and why most of the modern fps will keep this as long as people play this =) )
-
90% of what bungie says and what they actually do is bs.
-
7 RepliesJust stop playing people. I know you have other games to play. If you complain about Matchmaking and yet, Bungie always sees and knows you will just keep logging in and playing matches, they have no incentive to fix this. Throwing salt on here and still logging in DOES NOTHING. Speak with how you spend your free time gaming. Protest Bungie by not playing their game.
-
3 RepliesI swear there was a podcast or something or someone said there was where they specifically said they wanted everyone at 1.00 and 50% win loss. I'll see if I can find it and edit post later if I do.
-
1 ReplyI've been in a squad of 2 with 4 randoms, 6v6. We won, by a lot, got "broken up", to have 8 of us from that match in the next one. Happened that the next few games were more balanced, but only because each match a few players were rotated between the 2 squads. As for joining "lost" games, the W/L stats, all stats for that matter, mean nothing really, so I am happy to be even closer to the disappointment of the rewards screen.
-
1 ReplyWhen a team really plays in sync without being a fireteam they're always broken up never to play together again. Yet I got added to a match that was already FUBAR, finished the match, got broken up only to find myself added to another match with the same FUBAR FOOLS again. I say at least give us a choice to stay together in a team everyone likes. At least for a couple of matches.
-
😭 love it..I joined a match yesterday the first thing hat popped up on my screen was your team lost. I joined a match that was entering the rewards screen and I received a loss. I'm not mad bungie just disappointed.

Breaking up teams isn't sbmm. It's just plain dumb. You should be teamed up based on some form of skill level be it wins/loss plus kd plus game mode success, or some other form like kills vs assists and precision percentage etc. If the sbmm was working correctly you would be facing teams of similar skill. If your opponents choose to ignore picking up the spark in rift, or to only try to control one zone, or skip revives in skirmish then you will most likely lose. No matter the skill level. Most likely breaking up fire teams is proof that the sbmm doesn't work as well as everyone thinks. How about we as players ask them to get that right instead of getting rid of sbmm?
-
1 Reply*playing rift solo* *mercy rules the enemy* *destiny tries to find a better match* *drops you in a game in progress where your team is behind by at least 7k* *working as intended, because it's not a coincidence, it happens regularly*
-
1 ReplyWe all know how destiny is by now. So we have 2 solutions to the problem. 1 suck it up and deal with it. 2 don't play destiny and play something else. It really is this simple just choose which one works for you.
-
I agree, their method does not work well enough to be considered valid.
-
4 RepliesThey've clearly stated months ago when they got caught lying about SBMM that they were trying to maintain a 50/50 split
-
Edited by ChanlerGreen: 11/19/2016 2:32:10 PMI can agree with your post completely. Before taken King I almost never played crucible because I sucked. I think my kd was like .5 and my win to lose was like point three. Since the taken king( when I started playing crucible all the time) my kd has went up too almost one on all my characters and I can't seem to get higher because I always go against flawless people when I haven't been in at least 6 months. Just find it hard to play this game but I will come back. Also win too lose is now 0.82

Edited by Winkleworth: 11/19/2016 1:13:40 PMI get annoyed when I get stomped 4-5 games in a row, my team then does some stomping and it gets broken up after 1 win
