I'm bored out of my mind with Destiny

Edit 2: To all the people saying play another game, destiny has kinda spoiled me on how it plays. No other game has this kind of space magic. Most other games don't interest me.

2 RepliesActually their is a lot to do... The problem is for all the year 1 players that are bored with re skins of everything and not being rewarded for older activities. I mean this game can be stale sometimes but what makes it fun for me is going into the older activities,helping new players, and friending hardcore fans like myself to grind with. It's the social aspect of the game that makes it fun....it sure as shat isn't the same strikes, guests, missions, and raids over and over again. If the old raids and activities had current light level rewards then I couldn't imagine having enough time in a week to finish everything.

3 RepliesI felt the same way about edit 2 Then I started playing Battlefield 1 and I got over Destiny( not completely but) Battlefield 1 Titanfall 2 Destiny This is the order I play. I think Bungie has it efforts pushed toward Destiny 2. So they are not coming out with anything to keep players around until then, unless you are into SRL. Just my opinion, but there are other games out there.

5 RepliesHonestly, they need to scale back the progression system. Everyone thought it was great and now we're spoiled with how quick we can level, but it takes A LOT of the grind out. Especially when Raid and Trials weapons have static rolls. There's nothing to encourage consistent play... Bungie has really made this a casual game and it has kind of become a bummer now that Normal, Hard and Challenge Modes have been beaten, max levels have been achieved and the best/only rolls have been obtained on weapons. Nothing screams "Filthy Casuals" more than having Efrideet sell the god roll Clever Dragon on the second Iron Banner of the expansion. As twisted as it is, part of me misses running Totems on KF each week trying to get that 320 Ghost to reach max level. Now I just go to the Forge and play half a dozen offerings.

I'm starting to feel the same as you. I also agree with your edit 2. I'm thinking about buying the handsome Jack collection from the Borderlands series. I loved bl2 on ps3 and with the HJC you get all the dlcs and I think you get Borderlands the pre-sequal if I read that right. Either way I'm ready for a Destiny break soon.

6 RepliesDude, just trust some of us on trying something else. I played Titanfall 2 for a week before IB. Cool campaign, dedicated regional servers. Load times between matches are super fast, and no one is red barring. I tried playing IB (literally my favorite game mode on Destiny), and just got bored. Got tired of grinding for stuff, and really tired of those 5 minute load screens.. Skyrim is also excellent if you like loot based games. It also takes FOREVER to play. No lack of content issues. Give it a shot, man.

I have been cutting down on my Destiny time.. honestly, I'm not even end-game yet, but I'm bored. I'm nearly too bored to continue. I have substituted some of my Destiny time for some good old fashioned Halo. I prefer Halo Reach, lots of replay-ability, fun campaign, stellar multiplayer and a well assembled horde mode: firefight. Not to mention, custom games are bae. I'm still trying to get through it's campaign on legendary with all skulls on.

1 ReplyNone of your toons are close to 400 light. Your Warlock is only at 291 light. , If I were you, I'd be grinding on my Warlock toward 385. My Warlock was far behind too, and I was bored...so I leveled him up and had fun doing it. Maybe you can try the same?

Joined a clan mate last night when I got home. We sat in orbit talking for 2 hours since there is literally nothing left to do. I just want to raid but can't get more than one friend on at a time on either console. I'm so sick of playing solo.

Last week I just could not be bothered with the raid at all. Trials is pointless as being shot gunned through a rock is frustrating. Iron banner was just grinding for infuse material. The only thing I will try for is a full set up raid gear so I can get the shaders. Now [i]that[/i] is sad! Saying that, I've put much time in this game that I can't seem to get into any other game. Division was fun for a while. Doom.... meh. Rainbow 6 seige is OK. GTA is boring as hell. So back to Destiny to play with friends still playing I suppose.

I agree, raids broring. It's like there sucking the fun outa the game, strikes are all the same, three years and that's enough repeat and play...is there anything else..?.....
