I was just on the dreadnaught when the enemy started moving against itself. Of course I position myself to camp one of the caves and spawn kill cabal. I was able to mow down multiple waves without reloading. Tied together with WoL, I was able melt four or five waves without reloading.
Fabian Strategy is now essentially super good advice as an assault rifle.
Bungie if you read this. DON'T CHANGE A THING. Fabian Strategy has finally come into its own. Now it feels like the exotic it should have been.
*edit/addition
I'm reading it's wrecking in crucible? I don't play crucible. Bungie, seriously don't try to "fix" it. If you really really must, keep the nerf in pvp.
It finally feels like a hella good exotic and I hate to see it returned mediocrity.
Edit 2: the reediting
I play 100% pve (except for when I did my sword quest and exotic class item quest) So I can't and won't speak to its usefulness in pvp. I probably really like it b/c it fits my play style. I play the majority of the time as defender. I understand some of you still don't like it. That's cool. You do you.

38 RepliesThe gun will never be at its full potential unless one thing is done
remove the damage reduction while front lines is active. If I'm in shotgun range, i better be able to melt the shotgunner, as he will be able to melt me
5 RepliesI tried it for about 2 games in crucible today. I don't know who gave you those reports, but it's not that great. It's ok for an auto rifle, but I'm the only person I've seen using it. I don't think it pulls straight up, which is a major downside for me. It definitely won't be nerfed. Doctrine is still much better

I finally tried it out today and I couldn't put it away. They've definitely resurrected this weapon. It actually kills stuff and is great for crowd controlling enemies when there's a large group. It's even useable in PvP now too. I dropped almost 20 kills in the game I tried it out. Pre patch that would of taken about 18 games to accomplish. Hahaha.

Went to the first mission on the moon and didn't release the trigger trough out the whole hive encounter, Awesome!
-
With the small arms modifier it tears up in the heroics. How it does without on its own is yet to be scene. I know with specialist on in the nightfall it shoots feathers. A nice addition to a what was a shit weapon.

6 RepliesSuper good advice? Do you even know what SGA is? It's perks are nothing like SGA perks, what are you talking about? Smh
-
3 RepliesLol killing any enemy on patrol with any gun is in no way a good way to test weapons haha
-
4 RepliesI tried it in Crucible and was not wow'd.
-
3 RepliesIt is good but only at shotgun range.. Try using it in widows court and watch your kd drop like lead
-
1 Replyi wouldn't say it;s "Hella good" but it's definitly improved, gun won't be great till they get rid of the damage decrease tho
-
2 RepliesI should probably level up gunsmith on my Titan... <3
-
Idk is it?
-
I had lots of fun with it in the crucible. I haven't used it for PvE, yet, though.
-
I completely agree. I love what Fabian Strategy is now. It's finally useful.
-
I don't like the sound..and it only works at shotgun range..even less tha fusion rifle
-
Not gonna lie, I haven't ranked mine up all the way yet but gun still feels pretty weak in PvE. Even with small arms on the strike, it's pretty lackluster imo.
-
I've been using it on an aggressive Defender build, No Backup Plans, Party Crasher, Fabian and Sol Edge, I sprint from cover to cover, jumping and skating forward, soon as I get close enough, I'll open the throttle and start dropping mobs, it reloads enough on kills that you can make quite a scene before you need to reload. Land a melee or a shotgun kill, pop overshield and wade back in. Absolutely love it for PvE. Crucible? Ehhh... Someone with steadier aim and better reflexes than me would probably do just fine, I still need practice. Overall though, it's a contender finally... Tlaloc is a really good weapon, Fabian is certainly viable, I've never used Ace of Spades before, I've heard both schools of thought on it. Maybe they'll throw some love its way soon.
-
1 ReplyIt's still pretty ass in pvp. I've tried in 5 or 6 salvage and control games since the update and I really don't think it's good.
-
The Fabian Strategy is now used 100% for the opposite of its namesake :p
-
13 RepliesEdited by TheKill123: 9/10/2016 10:03:30 PMIt's a beast now ;)
-
I PVE'd it right out of the update and was thoroughly impressed! Hip fire for days. It's definitely not a gun to aim down sights with.
-
Can confirm that it is beastly in pve. Great at wiping out low-level mobs. Been using it in the strike playlist with small arms on. Very fun.
-
2 RepliesMaybe I can play my titan again and actually enjoy it now that I don't have to stick to a MIDA or Imago Loop.
-
I love it in PvE. Never having to reload while fighting hordes of trash is great. The boost to fire rate is insane now, and it's stability makes it a lead-laser. Not a piece of trash any more.

5 RepliesHow do you get Fabian strategy
-
8 RepliesIt's ridiculously OP now in Crucible, it's going to get readjusted very very quickly.
