Are you serious?
Another one of these -blam!-ing whiney 'somebody got something that I didn't get" posts?!
For -blam!-s sake! Do you people have any idea how juvenile and unjustifiably self-entitled you sound?
This is toddler-level attitude and behavior.
This is the kind of shit that gets a little kid's ass spanked - and justifiably so.
Sony paid for more content now. Microsoft did not.
You chose XBox over PS, just like I did.
Either deal with your decision and wait for the extra content that you, and Microsoft, will eventually get for free, or go buy a goddamned PS4 and get the content now.
In the mean time, shut the -blam!- up!
I swear to God, the Internet needs a'spank whiny toddler bitch ass' button!
Note: this is my reply to an earlier PS4 exclusives whine-post.
Hey look, someone can't read :) OP is a PS4 player, genius.
Uh, apparently that 'someone' is you, friend. Already addressed that in my original post and several follow up posts.
-
Edited by Trash Boat: 8/19/2016 9:19:36 PMYou most certainly did not address that in the original comment. All you clarified was that your comment is a copy paste because you aren't original enough to cry more than once. And after reading that vomit that was your post, you think I have enough time to waste reading your other replies? Psh. You're silly. :)
-
Stated it was a paste from an earlier post. Clarified that the OP in the first post had an Xbox, but that the issues and whining were all the same. And if you don't read, you shouldn't accuse someone else of not being able to. That just make you look silly. ;)

He's not complaining about PS having exclusives he's talking about Bungie saying that these exclusives would be exclusive on PlayStation for a year after their release and then Bungie says that they're remaining exclusive for another year.
-
Yes, I understand. That was addressed a bit further down in the thread.
-
Thank you

Its annoying to me simply because when we do get it Destiny 2 will be out unless thats delayed again which who knows at this point. But whats the point of even releasing it for Xbox One if its obsolete by the time we receive it (If Destiny 2 is released we will get Destiny 1 content for a game we wont even play)
-
I was 'whining' about this earlier. I understand that sony paid for exclusives and that they were supposed to be on a release to release timeline. This is completely different. When the strike, crucible map, and weapons do drop for us xbone players (presumably when Destiny 2 drops), they will all be irrelevant. I highly doubt that TTK & ROI weapons and armor will carry over to Destiny 2, similar to what with year 1 to TTK. I have no idea how they plan on incorporating Destiny 2. If it's a completely separate game, which is what I suspect, the only thing that would carry over is your character and gear (maybe?). Which would mean, that I would need to fire up OG destiny, just to get the grimoire for Echo Chamber and the crucible map. It would be like releasing maps on black ops that were exclusive to a console, then made available 2 years later for the opposite console, when the newest game is released. It's silly.
-
That's way too much speculation for you to make a whine post. It seems like you just want to complain.
-
There is some speculation, but that's based on how they've done prior releases, minus TTK gear carrying over to ROI. I don't want to complain and I hardly do when it comes to Destiny and Bungie. I'm not really complaining either. I just think the whole year (2 year) exclusivity is stupid. It hurts both platforms.
-
I'd say it benefits the Playstation platform & has little to no effect on the Xbox.
-
The playstation platform - the exotics are solely based on RNGeesus, xur will never sell them. Echo Chamber will never be the nightfall. Whatever the f*ck the crucible map is, will never be in trials. Hopefully I am wrong on what I'm assuming will happen with the this content and Destiny 2. What do you think they're going to do?
-
Honestly, at the moment I think whoever designed the Web page was lazy & didn't care enough to research exactly which content was going to remain exclusive & just lumped it all together lol If that's not the case, I think we'll get some sort of year 3 April update, & that's when they'll release the exclusives to xbox.

Here's the thing people like you never seem to get. FOR THE LOVE OF EVERYTHING IN THIS FREAKING UNIVERSE WE AREN'T PISSED WE WON'T GET IT. WE ARE PISSED IT WAS JUST THE EXCLUSIVES ARE NOW 2 YEAR EXCLUSIVES WITHOUT ANY, and I cannot highlight this next part enough. OFFICIAL WORD FROM BUNGIE THEMSELVES. like wow why is that so hard to grasp. Yeah there are a few posts whining they won't get it for another year, but a majority are just pissed at the level of professionalism being shown by bungie, which is to say none.

You are pissed that you won't get it as soon as you wanted it - without paying for it, of course? Yeah, that's really not less pathetic and juvenile.
-
There's a difference between PS4 players getting extra content, that was paid for by Sony, and Sony paying Bungie/Activision to restrict content on Xbox One. The latter is shady, and people are definitely justified in being upset about receiving a lesser amount of content just because the other platform's company paid Bungie to give them less. It would be like a guy selling ice cream, and a bunch of kids paying $5 each for the ice cream. Then, I walk up, and pay the ice cream guy to not put sprinkles on anybody's ice cream cones accept for my kids'. The ice cream that the other kids receive should be dictated by the amount of money that the kids are paying, not an outside party.
-
And that is a well presented articulation of the other perspective - that Sony didn't pay for extra content to be available immediately on PS, but that Sony paid for standard content to be made unavailable for an extended period on XBox. Regardless of whether a person adopts your perspective or mine, however, what is obvious is that when buying the game virtually everyone knew PS got extra stuff in Destiny for the same price that Xbox paid without the extra stuff. If you're an XBoxer, and you bought the game, you knew what you were getting. And, more importantly, what you were not getting. Can't believe people whine like this when they got exactly what they knew they were paying for, when they paid for it.
-
Only problem here is, we bought our systems a year before Destiny came out, knowing that it would be on both systems. It wasn't until the game was released that anyone knew there would be exclusives, and it's not like you can expect anyone to run out and spend another $300 just to get the exclusives. The customer is getting screwed because of some backroom transactions. No one should be okay with this.
-
True. And I understand the frustration - I feel it too. But, that really only covers Y1. TTK came out and pretty much everyone bought it knowing about the whole PS exclusives thing. If it really was such a big deal to an XBox person, the answer was to not buy TTK. But, almost everyone, myself included, still bought it. Plus, while we didn't know whether PS3 or XBox would get Destiny exclusives, if there were any, it's not like the concept of exclusives was unknown. They've been around for years. It's also not like we can know every game's allegiance for exclusives for the lifetime of a platform before we chose whether to go with Sony or MS. We all take a gamble when we buy a system. When it came to Destiny, PS people won.

Edited by The Woolldozer: 8/19/2016 9:40:15 PM
If it really was such a big deal to an XBox person, the answer was to not buy TTK.
I knew that you were going to say that, but that's untrue. The problem isn't big enough to flat-out not buy the game or expansions. The problem is big enough to complain about it on the forums, in Youtube videos, etc. If it continues, then the stakes can be raised, but it doesn't require an all-or-nothing protest. Another analogy: If you feel like your boss is treating you unfairly, the solution isn't to quit, or even to threaten to quit (unless it's a very serious issue, obviously). The solution is to sit down with your boss and discuss it. That's what we're doing here.

But the OP's post, and the many, many, many, just like it, are anything but a discussion. They are temper tantrum fueled threats of mass exodus and petulant demands to be given something just because they want it, and they want it now.

Edited by Metroplex1803: 8/19/2016 7:47:43 PMHe's basically saying that Bungie don't communicate with their community enough. Which they don't.

Sony paid for early access. Not for completely exclusive content.
Sony paid for early access. Not for completely exclusive content.
I think you're right; that's my assumption as well. But, that honestly doesn't mean that a bunch of salty XBox owners get to dictate what date the content is no longer exclusive to PS, and then be both pissy and salty when that date isn't correct. I know that the belief among many was that it would be available on XBox after a year. But, it's not like there was some contract stating this.
