why are xbox users paying for maps and weapons that are on the ps that will never come to xbox it would seem xbox users are are paying for parts of a game that they dont get and will never get, whilst i understand timed exclusives for lets say a month or two it seems harsh for xbox users to be paying for the development of portions of a game they cant play.

Edited by GrundleBeans: 8/20/2016 10:18:30 AMYou're not paying for them, Sony is. You get that content for free just like PS players get them for free, because we don't pay for content, we pay for a license to access whatever content they give us, however little or lot that might be. The only difference between Xbox and PS is when you get access to a portion of that content first. Also, all claims of what's "understandable" timed exclusives are arbitrary perspectives that differ from one to another.

1 ReplyNo one pays for content.
LIMITED USE LICENSE: Bungie grants you the non-exclusive, personal, non-transferable, limited right and license to install and use one copy of this Program solely for your non-commercial use. All rights not specifically granted are reserved by Bungie. The Program is licensed, not sold, for your use. Your license confers no title or ownership in this Program, and should not be construed as a sale of any rights in this Program.
We all pay for the license. Not content. And the part in italics pretty much says we have no rights in this game and Bungie can do as they see fit. Don't agree with it? Don't support it. Speak with your dollars.

1 ReplyFirst, you don't pay for content...you rent access to the games servers and game Second, Sony paid for those items...sure it sucks that ya had to wait a Year and now it looks like two and while I disagree with it...you are not entitled to those items as long as the contact between Sony and Bungie/Activision is in place

3 RepliesYou're looking at it wrong. Lots of times, games have retailer-exclusive content that you get as a bonus for preordering from that specific retailer, but it's also eventually available to purchase for people who preordered somewhere else, of bought the game after release. It's content given to those who qualify as a free bonus, where people who don't qualify can buy it, but if they choose not to, they're not paying for something they didn't get. It's the same deal with PS exclusives, they're just not making them available to buy on Xbox. We're not paying for something we don't get, they're getting something extra for free.

You are wrong though. You arent paying for them. Sony payed to get more exclusive for playstation players. This has been common knowledge for a long time.

It sucks but you aren't paying for content you aren't receiving as exclusives are added extras.
