Anyone else just steadily becoming a huge scrub in the cruciblé?
[i][b]Final Edit[/b][/i]: to give hope to all. It was another bad week for the most part. But I pulled it together and put a 9-0 card together with a 1.74 KD and two 1200 ELO players. I'm not going to say I carried, they were smart and listened to my advice, they pulled out some clutch first kills. It was one kids very first flawless. Made me feel good and gave me hope. Also made me realize you have to be compete scum to charge for a "carry"
A month ago I was consistently wrecking.
The past 2 weeks, everyone that snipes towards my direction has 127% accuracy, they never miss. Every primary (especially Grasp of Malok, Mida, and TLW kill me faster than phogoth on void burn)
Even in trials last week I had an abysmal 1.2 weekly KD, this week it's probably below a 1.0.. Everyone that shoots at me is perfect.. they could have a .3 trials KD and they are MLG aimbot pro when they shoot at me..
It's not even fun. It's not an exaggeration when I say EVERYTONE. It's like bungie has turned my bullets into feathers and put me in big head mode..
I was never a god, but I could more than hold my own (been flawless over 100x).. but the past 2 weeks (during IB and especially trials) I have turned into a traffic cone..
Anyone else in the same boat? And did you find a way out?
Edit: yeah its official, I'm a huge scrub now. Can barely go positive. Getting MLG sniped by the worst of the worst. I think it's time to hang it up. It was fun while it lasted. But I need to go find my thumbs, apparently I lost them a couple weeks ago.

I didn't bring it up. Many of you did. But I experience the same thing! You'll go something like 30-8 and 6 of those deaths will be some MLG snipe from the same guy while your sliding or drilling his face with a primary or in a super.. and you think "man that guy is carrying his team he's a pro.." and then you look at the scorecard and he's one of the worst players in the lobby and all of his kills and points are from you.. [i]this is all too real[/i]

Pretty sure all the unskilled players left. And skill based match making punishes you for becoming a better player by matching you with even better players. Crucible has never been this hard.

Yep. Used to be too if the team on most games, now its either neutral or negative.

If there's one thing I would love to be in the crucible, it's bein' consistent with my skills.

I find that since they've been killing me fast and the same, I end up rushing a lot more, not playing to my conservative area (I usually hold down a portion of the map), and when I rush, I'm in no shoes to rush. So I would then proceed to do bad habits after. Try stepping back a bit. Raid and do strikes, and then when you come back, STAY WITH YOUR TEAM, you cannot go at it alone, any ways, a lot of people love being meat shields including myself ... Sadly.

You need to take a step back and think about what you're doing wrong and then stop doing those things. It's far more likely that you've slipped into some bad habits than the world all went leet at the same time. Lame, dad answer but it's also the simple truth.

Edited by Mar: 7/31/2016 4:45:47 AMeh, you get used to being horrible... just embrace it and it will be better. no one HAS to be awesome all the time. with me its all dependant on who i get matched with. if its people around my skill level, 1.0-2.5 k/d and 1500-2500 score every game depending on map and enemy team's ability to coordinate. if its a pre made group lead by uber l33t mlg try hard mc douche bag and his roaming troop of questionable legitamacy latincy double shot gun bros who all eat sleep live and breathe crucible harder than the grand marshals and high warlords of classic WoW, i do good to go 0.5 and get 1000 score... but bungie's match making has always been garbage, even back in halo 3 where they thought it was a good idea to match teams of 1 person with 30 skill level and 5 people with 10 or lower skill levels against a team of 20s and 25s.... because thats a fair match up...

4 RepliesI used to be super aggressive, but thanks to the long range 'meta' I've been getting passive and that will always have a negative effect on your reaction speed. That said. Yeah... Plus I've finally been getting into Trials, so... Double yeah...

This happened to me about a month ago and it hasn't gotten much better since. I just try to stay away from sniper lanes. Of course that doesn't always work since some people are now sniping me from two feet away. With headshots of course. I figured it was because of a huge population exodus when Overwatch dropped. The less skilled players left the game for something new leaving me at the bottom of the skill curve. Yeah crucible is not what it used to be, and for me that means it's not much fun anymore. Even the weapon drops are boring with useless perks for my play style. I was hoping bungie would do something about the sniping, but I now realize that what they have done is intentional and it's working exactly like they want. Quickscoping has finally infested destiny. The one thing that made this game stand out from CoD is gone.

I noticed the same thing last two weeks. Less folks playing means you are playing try hards more. I went from 1.6 to a 1.1, now I am climbing back.

I have my bad games but i also have pretty sweet games as well. if im playing bad i just go do something else.
