Can we revert back to year one please?

I really wish that all subclasses and weapons would be buffed back to their former glory.
For me, and I'm fairly sure a good amount of the player base loved year one PvP and PvE (just forget about Thorn and roll with me for a sec, okay?)
I loved it when my weapon was not shooting foam darts at people, I sure others do to.
Sure, some of the buffs and nerfs were purely beneficial in the long run. Thorn, for example, was a common source of hatred brought on by an overdose of salt. Thanks to bungie, I has gone from being the only weapon you can use, to a good weapon. The Buffs to golden gun, arc blade, fist of havoc, and hammer of Sol in PvE were all great. But lately, everything has been hit. Hard.
Subclasses, supers, weapons, Grenades, meeles, everything.
Sure, getting stuck with a trip mine was annoying as hell, and being chased through the air by a whirling electric blender known today as a Bladedancer.
But it was fun.
Yeah, it sucked being tagged by firebolts and slowly but surely burning to death while the sunsinger that condemned you to that fate laughs their radiant ass off.
But you learn to counter that.
That was the main appeal to PvP for me.
That the skill gap was real, and existed.
That is part of the reason the Halo games where so successful.
But that time is no longer with us.

I agree with you. But the thorn in Year 1 was never used people wanted it buffed that happened everybody goes ape shit because the gun they wanted buff is now op.

Amen. I might even return to the crucible to get waxed by Thorn. It was always such an honour to get killed by that gun. I know how hard it was to get. I never called for a nerf. I just went out and got my own.

I'd love that! Hand cannons would be viable once again, and I wouldn't be able to counter snipe 2 snipers with my hawk saw.

1 ReplyOnly thing that needed to be buffed year 1 were pulse rifles, they should be stopped after they buffed them, since then they've been buffing/nerf in everything, when the only thing that needed to be buffed was pulse rifles, they went overboard.

2 RepliesExotics, how the strike list worked, subclass strength, primary weapon strength, raids, gear, etc. ALL were better in Y1. So I would support a full-blow reversion back to Y1 IMO. Except bring back all Y1 gear too. Our hard-earned gear should never go obsolete due to a choice of the developers. If we choose to put it down, it should be because we decided something better came along.

3 Replies.....most of my friends that i played year 1 with no longer play Destiny because of their thousands of hours put into year 1 to acquire all their favorite weapons and gear only to see them become obsolete... and yet Bungie still wonders why players are leaving Destiny........... we used to have so much fun running VoG, Crota, Nightfall, and PoE every week, nowadays my current group just run King's Fall, Nightfall, and maybe CoE, and be done for the week... im sure the community as a whole would agree Destiny is better off having all content remain relevant... until Destiny 2

You'll be back to regrind for shit you already grinded for a couple times and they will stretch the shit out of ROI by nerfing everything they buffed. RNG, loot drop rate, 3OC etc etc. It's the only thing they can do since Bungie doesn't have shit for content that can actually expand this game. A rinse and repeat...

Agreed. People can day rose colored glasses or nostalgia all the want but my play time is so low for pvp now. Haven't played in over 2 weeks. I used to grind Iron banner like crazy. Was first in the United states for awhile, dropped down to 3rd. Now I could careless. The Meta is horrible and we as guardians keep getting weaker. Whether it's our abilities or weapons people just want things handed to them. They want nerfs, whatever they want gets nerfed, they still suck, find something new to nerf. It's really sad.
