LOL no more shadestep spamming mid gunfight lmao

Time to actually fire your gun hunters! Edit: way too many replies to reply to so I will leave this here. Shadestep in its current state (pre patch) is a bit too good. The main problem with shadestep was the second shadestep. The second one made it so this ability can be easily spammed and you weren't really punished for messing up your first shadestep. If I'm shooting you and I leave you extremely weak and you shade step but I manage to correct my aim and continue firing that should be the kill.(provided that one shadestep didn't get you out of the gun fight) in its current state you're allowed to do a second shadestep even after I left you extremely weak, corrected my aim and continued firing you still manage to pull off another shadestep that is when the spam factor comes into play. Any other subclass would be dead, if you wanna be rewarded for being a good shadestepper then that one shadestep before the 3 second cooldown should be enough to get you out of danger, if not then conserve that ability to when you think is the perfect time to use it. You should be punished for a poorly timed shadestep, not rewarded another one. In regards to smoke bomb I felt it didn't need to be nerfed as it was a compensation for the nightstalkers poor grenade. There were a lot of wrong changes made to the hunter and I understand your frustration but defend what actually needs defending, gunslinger and blade dancer. Hopefully no one is to butthurt, I'm just stating my opinion in a public forum.

  • I don't get it...whenever someone decided to shadestep in the middle of an engagement, I'd just gun them down. They don't have invincibility frames during it, and it wasn't hard to take them out. Anyone who ever played a nightstalker would have a better understanding of the movement, and that in turn helps when you're playing against it. The bad players will still say "shadestep is still OP" even after this patch. Simply because good players will still be good players, and the bad....still terrible.

    • Came across a guy shade stepping like a bitch or atlesst trying to whenever me or my team mates got the drop on him first. He was from tier 1 clan. Just goes to show these people are nothing without their crutch. Stupid noobs.

      • I have videos showing me hitting a shade stepper with a sticky nade and it just bounces off and hits the ground bc the player shade stepped away, did they even fix that shit?

          • That's okay hunters will find some other glitch to exploit soon. Since TTK came out they have found at least three glitches and exploited them continuously until they had to be nerfed. I'm sure when all the sobbing and blubbering is over some Hunter will come up with a new glitch chin up huntards.

                    • Wether or not it's too good, Bungie makes sure for players not to have fun. They debuffed twilight garrison but it never bothered me.

                    • I'm fine with all the changes except for my Bladedancer. They buff/nerfed my favorite balanced subclass and Im not a big fan of the changes. The only thing that really needed be changed was the hit detection for backstabbing to kick in and the uselessness of arc blade PVE. The melee ability range shouldnt of been nerfed as now its just like a warlock melee. The blink changes I don't see why they were necessary as it's what gave mobility to my favorite hunter and warlock subclass and I never viewed it as being broken in anyway. Plus I'm gonna miss flying around/evading in arc blade as that was the only way to have chance of using your super otherwise you just get team shotted or shotgun punched with ease. It was fun for speed running Crota too.

                        It wont matter players using hunters if played smart can still take down warlocks and titans, ive done my share even without heavy reliance on shadestep, lol I see more of the latter running for their super in a panic than standing up and fighting so I would say the same back to warlock and titans stand and fight, dont run for your super when you struggle with fighting a hunter.

                        • I never found shadestep to be OP. If anything, it's more annoying due to the fact that I have to chase them down after the hunter shadesteps around a corner pr wall and slow down my time of killing said hunter. I am sorta peeved that Twilight Garrison got the same nerf because I am using Titan as main, while not really caring for shadestep since I rarely use my hunter.

                          • Nightstalker smoke bombs did need fixing a bit and also the grenades for Nightstalker are actually pretty decent. I've been playing around and I got a postmortem triple kill with a well placed spike grenade. It's pretty good.

                          • I feel bad for the people that called for this nerf. If something as minuscule as that is what will throw you off in a game and all, man, i would hate to see how bad you do in an actual competitive FPS type of game and all.
