I'd be happy if exotics had elemental. Currently my god roll legendary weapons outclass all my exotic weapons.

With them screwing over our special and heavy machine gun ammo reserves, they might as well bring them back. At least in a new way. A new infusion item that can add an element to your kinetic-damage legendary primary weapons.

Zhalo: Arc (already has it) Vex Mythoclast: Solar (as above) Thorn: Void (makes sense due to darkness) Bad Juju: Void (as above) Others: Random (can be changed with glass needles). And yes, this would mean making the Thorn and Vex Mythoclast year 2.

Like I'm sorry, Kinetic weapons are boring In year 1 it was exciting getting a elemental primary, thinking of how godlike you were going to be in nightfall, because back then Nightfall wasn't a watered down joke

35 RepliesBungie should introduce Elemental Power Cores into the game. Just as Chroma can be attached to a weapon, Elemental Power Cores should be available to earn which can be inserted into primary weapons.

1 ReplyMy issue is bungie removed them because of a diversity issue. But, elemental primaries were useless outside of burn nightfalls. Even then, there was always a wide range of weapons to choose from depending on the burn. Its not like people ran fatebringer, black hammer and ghorn 24/7. People switched their loadouts constantly depending on the situation. In fact, i think it made things more diverse. Think about it: people used these weapons in vog all the time. But what harm was an arc fatebringer and solar ghorn, to some praetorians with a void shield? Not to mention elemental weapons are useless in crucible. Nobodys gonna be using that word of crota in pvp just because its void. People used these weapons because they were good, and they enjoyed using them. There was a massive range in diversity. Now, you play kings fall and everyone uses the same thing. ToM/black spindle. Most raid teams wont even let you play with them if you dont have these weapons. I think wed see a bigger increase in weapon diversity if they brought elemental primaries back.

I love elements primary but I am sick of bungie saying that it is giving challenges without it. I like both elements and without it because it did not effect much on PvE and PvP. Maybe they will put it back after new DLC but who knows.
