An interesting question I see rise to the surface a lot. I want to see what this community thinks about it.

You might as well change the title to, "are you a bigot who can't think rationally"

1 ReplyI'm pretty sure genetic scientists either found the "gay gene" or were very close to it if my memory is correct. Read about it when I was in high school, can't remember the source though
Noice b8 m8
2 RepliesEdited by Devious_Melons: 4/18/2016 8:34:35 PMIf you can choose to be gay, you can choose to be bisexual. So why am I not a bisexual. I can't choose to be a bisexual, I would like to because it is a benefit. So you can't choose to be gay.

No one's born straight. No one's born bi. No one's born gay.
cuz if you had been born and raised to be the opposite of what u are and you never heard of what you are then you'd be just that. Tl;dr Whether you're gay or straight. Gender doesn't matter, orientation doesn't matter so yolo.
1 ReplyEveryone is different. Some do, some don't.

6 RepliesThey do not. It is a biological phenomenon that occurs when a species starts getting large in numbers. Think of it as a biological defense mechanism that protects the species from over populating. However bisexuals have emerged and these are people with a lack of direction that do not know what to do. Most are actually straight but are uncertain.

Edited by Ogma: Destroyer of Worlds: 4/18/2016 3:18:59 PMThey choose to act on how they feel, and in this case there is nothing wrong with it. It's not like they aren't really gay and are just doing it anyway despite that they don't really feel that way.
-
1 ReplyI strongly believe they do. They may be influenced by people or environments, but ultimately it's their choice
-
I believe that for the majority it isn't a choice. However, there are some who choose "to be gay" for attention.
-
2 RepliesWell, I'm bi. I'd like to be straight, would save me a lot of unfulfilled and unreciprocated feelings, but I'm not. So no, you don't choose. Although some people claim to be gay or bi for the attention.

I'd say no. But I don't absolutely know so...
