The way we can tell if a game is"dying /dead" as a gamer, try to load a matchmaking variant. Count how long it takes to make a match. Usually, USUALLY this is a good indicater as to how many people are currently playing said game. ...I've played both recently, no need to tell me what your particular opinion is, i don't care. I have witnessed the truth. Go ahead try it, don't be afraid of the reality. Find out for yourself. Also forcing others to acquiesce to your version of reality is tantamount to bullying say no to bullying.

Difference is they patched today already bungie makes you wait until next week. I doubt we'll see any changes to destiny for a couple weeks.

I played Destiny at beta til ttk. Destiny became the same shit over, and over, and over. Also they nerfed everything into the ground to appease the crybabies. -blam!-ed up matchmaking.Right now you guys are playing rehashed content in their recent dlc. Say what you want but I'm having a blast in The Division. Destiny was a great game for it's time, but Destiny killed Destiny for me.

My copy is already sitting on the shelf at game stop waiting for it's next victim. Spent the 30$ I got from it on Sterling treasure boxes. Had more fun opening them than all my time playing the division.

I like the division possibly even slightly more than destiny. But its no excuse these incursions are disappointing like Destinys reward system.

It's so far from run and gun (Destiny) that it's not even funny. You actually need to think about tactics and you gear set up. Not just use what everyone else is. HE gear drops from level 30 bosses, yea it's not top tier but it's still HE and very effective at getting you DZ ready. Incursion gives guaranteed HE top tier and can be farmed. Basically you need to "raid" for the "best" loot which is the same shit Destiny makes you do. Oh you can get top tier gear from IB, Trials, Raids, SRL... But how many times have we run those only to get crappy gear? Break them down and both Destiny and the Division do things right and wrong. Neither is worse or better than the other. Keep in mind that this writer has also slammed Destiny for the same thing.

Played both Destiny and The Division, it's easy to pick out the flaws of others, yes The Division has some major game breaking issues... Missing characters in The Division must be painful to those affected, but they've already confirmed characters have not been deleted and will be retrieved. ... But let's not forget Destiny had many issues too... Loot Cave for Vanilla, Atheon/Templar cheese, Queens Wrath farming and many more issues. Looking at the current new L41/42 "end game" content which can be completed solo by a 300 light level, and can be speedran in less than 5 minutes is a joke imo.

Lantern room explosion shortcut cheese, bridge spawn cheese, bridge sword cross cheese, Crota disconnect cheese... Because destiny content has always worked as Intended, always... always.

Play other games, and the subject comes up sometimes about Destiny. Laugh about how you used to play, then quit a long time ago. Kind of like the fat chick that you accidentally slept with. Lots of us have for it, nobody's proud of it, but it makes for some lols down the road. Irrelevant is the right word, I think. Maybe 1 million still actively play? Over 20 mil people bought the game at one point. 95% gone, give or take. Always found it ironic that people think every game coming out is trying to compete with / kill an irrelevant game.

Interesting article. The loot problems are something every game like Destiny / Division has to deal with. They really have to balance the grind vs. rewarding players. I know a lot of players hate grinding, but giving everybody everything they want isn't going to be a great longterm plan for a game either. The Dark Zone problem was 100% to be expected. Imagine if every casual Destiny player who got the the end of a mission was suddenly molested by a group of six guys who play Destiny for ten hours a day and then had all their stuff stolen. That just seems unsustainable to me. I don't know how they can fix it.

Ill save you some time, there isnt many if any at all. Glitches, broken endgame, hackers, incursion exploits, and a class action lawsuit for refunds are the only posts you will find. I enjoyed the division quite a lot for the first 2 weeks. Sadly, and i mean sadly as i was 100% rooting for it, it has imploded and gone to shit. This Division fan sums it up perfectly with evidence of massive numbers of players dropping off....until the CM locked the thread.
