So I've been debating whether or not to buy the New Monarchy AR for a few months now. I always put it off or used my marks on planetary materials. To anyone that has the NM AR, is it worth the marks? I know the vendor roll is pretty solid. Edit: PvP wise. I mainly use scouts for PvE. Any and all advice is much appreciated! Edit2: thanks for everyone's input, I'll be buying the vendor roll when I get online later.

  • It's getting a buff tomorrow so it'll be better than it is now.

  • How so, it's a medium rate AR. Only the low rof guns were getting a buff. Unless you are referring to the nerf of the high rof guns as a buff for the mediums.

  • It's my absolute favourite auto rifle. For me, it goes toe to toe with a DoP and even The Last Word. The range is phenomenal as well. I'm using it consistently from a scout rifle range.

  • I really like the Righteous VII actually. It has solid PvE usage and in PvP it does well going toe to toe with other auto rifles. (Except for Doctrine of Passing) I like the large magazine and glass half full is great when you accidentally miss the first part of the clip. I can usually get two kills out of a single clip.

I have the Vendor roll, and it's incredibly reliable in PvE; easily my favorite all-around weapon in there because of the versatility. It sucks in Crucible though.

  • Damn, I don't want it if it's not as reliable in PvP. I mainly use scouts in PvE :/

I've taken out Doctrines with it in Trials but it just seems weaker than the good stats screen would imply.

  • It makes up for its shortcomings in PvP with how ridiculous it is in PvE. Hits like a train, great recoil, and 43 rounds per mag. And while I prefer other ARs in Crucible, the Righteous is EASILY one of my favorite guns in Frontier.

  • I have Haakon's Hatchet, but with a shit roll lol so it collects dust in my vault. I use HoW Silimar's Wrath in PvP tho and I love it.

  • I've got the Righteous VII, which I like a lot, but Paleocontact JPK-43 is even better.

  • It's not bad. Just doesn't feel stable enough to go toe to toe with most guns.

  • Out of the vendor ars go I like the dead orbit one. It shoots fast and has good impact and decent stability. But the crucible ar deal breaker I think it's called. It's in the range of like suros. Super stable and hits hard. Just not fast.

  • I've used the dead orbit one before, but I hated the sights on it. So I dismantled it.
