5 RepliesYou're forgetting one thing dumbass. You're comparing a legendary hand cannon to an exotic. I would hope the thorn outperforms the bane, no? It is annoying to play against, purely because of the burn. If it shot regular "bullets" no one would blink an eye. But it isn't overpowered.

If something is killing you a lot you have two options play pve or adapt and use strategies to counter the weapons that are killing you don't come on forums and start bitching and moaning about how op something is. It's only going to make this game even more unbalanced

Idk why but people here are terrified of nerfs and want to see all weapons buffed, not realizing that if you cant get nerfs right, it'll be the same with buffs. Eventually so many buffs will happen that we're playing cod in neutral game and hammers is like an AC-130

Just return Thorn to how it was in vanilla. It was perfectly fine and was, in fact, my favourite primary weapon in the game.

Your comparing an exotic to a terrible made raid handcannon with a different purposes. Thorn is just as good as hawkmoon, the first curse, and tlw. Each has different uses.

As long as it doesn't get a year 2 version..... It will rot for ever in my vault. This weapon is a crutch and it will always be one. I felt bad when I played with it against people in Trials back in HoW, so I switched to Hawkmoon.

Your problem is you left the fact that if you triple body them, they don't die immediately. I know from experience (both used against me and used on others) that their is [i]plenty[/i] of time for the effected victim may return the shots neccesary to trade. Trading is not optimal in this game. If you turn and run, you leave yourself open to the victim returning fire, esspecially when used in its effective range. If you go for the fourth body shot to guarentee the kill immediately you have leveled it with literally every other hand cannon in the same archetype as you have kindly stated in your post.

Here is problem!! Easies weapons to use have the fastest times to kill(thorn, doctrine of passing, tlw) Whereas weapons more difficult to use kill much slower (medium rof ARs, first curse type hand canons, scouts (excluding mida))

What's bullshit is that the first curse kills in 3 head shots while thorn kills in 3 body shots at an increased rate of fire. Bullshit.

1 ReplyYou're are comparing it to a legendary dude. Of course the exotic is going to be better. Year 2 Thorn is not broken. It's better balanced. At a range it can beat TLW. And in close combat, TLW will out class thorn so much faster. But seriously, thorns exotic perk is very unique and does not last long any more, and only does 3 damage per tick.
