So im not the greatest crucible player but i give the bladedancer a go every now and then as i love the IDEA behind the subclass. Do you think its reasonable to give the bladedancer a bit of a buff? Here's what I think.
In year one the Bladedancer was the power house in the crucible. Blink was broken, arcbolts in combination with Thorn were broken, shotguns were broken and of all the classes Bladedancer could abuse them the most. The super was ok but if you were smart you could hold onto your panic super and shut him down real easy and after a year most crucible players have wizened up to the bladedancer super and know how to deal with it. Just jump up.
So now that thorn is not year 2 and has recieved a bit of a nerf, could we buff arcbolts, im sure stormcallers wouldn't mind that either, but they're a bit lackluster now to the point of being unusable. They were only stupid because of the Thorn really.
Blink is fine, i'd hate to see blink shotgun make a comeback although the nerf does render quickdraw a bit useless in combiniation with blink. Great for all you 1k lastworders still though.
As for the Super, can bungie give each swing just a tiny bit more range, not more aim assist not more damage reduction just a tiny bit more range, the number of time you swing and you could swear you've hit the guy and yet off he floats into the sky out of reach... alternatively how about increasing the speed at which you swing your blade so even if you do fall ahort that first time you know you'll get him on the next??
Please let me know what you think, sorry for the essay just sick of all the nonsense ppl post on here.
Cheers
Well thabks for all the replies, it seems that buff was a poor choice of wording and that the general concensus if that it just needs to be fixed! Hopefully bungie will do something about it before destiny 2 drops next year. What would you like to see different done with the classes when the next destiny drop?

Yes hit detection definitely needs a buff and a small damage buff

1 ReplyNope, I think bladedancer is still amazing PVP wise. No buff needed.
-
The super needs to last longer and should only use super when u hit someone. So then u can move around easily and actually feel super.

For pve, YES For pvp, NO

2 RepliesEdited by Daddy Chill (Adept): 3/8/2016 1:51:49 AMNo I saw a spread sheet of all 9 subclasses that showed their average kdr across the board, blade dancer ranked the highest among all players.

They need a better Hit-Detection Buff.
-
Melee detection across the board needs a buff.
-
Well there are gyms they can go to you know.
-
1 ReplyI agree! Let's nerf fusion rifles!
-
Other than the grenades all that needs to be done is change the hit detection. That is both in the super and with blink strike. Sometimes I'm sure it's lag but other times it's not. Other than that the subclass is still pretty strong and is fine where it is.

Melee hit registration needs to be fixed (this will apply to all classes, not just bladedancers), the bladedancer class itself doesn't need any changes.
-
Needs hit detection fix but it is very good in smaller game modes still
-
No,fusion rifles need to be nerfed
-
Needs a bug fix

So, you basically think I did too good a job? Careful when you call for me, you may well get more than you desire. Who is this Buff you speak of? The only one I've heard of sits around complaining because I am the favored one. If you want a Buff, I'd suggest asking for me to tinker with everything else; at least there will be a chance your request will be granted.

I think they should add like 2-4 extra seconds to the super.
-
They could probably just revert the nerf on blink, and both blink subclasses would see a lot more love.

Sunsinger melee and viking funeral need 200% buff
-
Bladedancer just needs a fix on melee and arc blade detection. Arcbolt got ninja buffed on its damage and I don't think there's going to be a buff on its range cause Lucky Raspberry is coming real soon
-
-blam!- no
-
Simply put: yes.
-
1 ReplyThe arcbolts damage should increase across the board to about 100-105 and the hit detection needs to be fixed

Edited by Lens: 3/7/2016 5:09:10 AMFix Melee hit detection on all CLASSES, no more short stop lunge on BladeDancers and hit detection, Flux grenade now does the same damage as fusion grenades, and buff arcbolt a little bit.
