This is exactly one of the primary reasons I will not play The Division. Not only is my time limited but the idea that someone can stalk a drop zone and fight to take my loot or someone turns on me would frustrate me to no end. Recent reports from the open beta showed 50% of players playing more than 2 hours in Dark Zone went rogue- no way. I'll stick with Destiny thank you.

8 RepliesAnd 40 percent out of the 50 were tricked into going rogue, by people purposely missing shots at them and getting them to shoot back.
-
There are multiple extraction areas and that's what makes the game fun. You don't know what's gonna happen. You don't know who to trust. It's not destiny you idiots it's not a participation reward system. Like every raid it's atleast a 320 item and a few Exotics are expected or else you will whine and complain.

3 Replies"50% of players in the pvp zone played pvp"
-
You probably just sucked at the darkzone.
-
It's a beta doesn't matter what you do not like it's gonna save and be their when you have the actual game.
-
If you don't just stand in the middle of the street you'll win 95% of the battles because when someone goes rogue the whole map seeks them out, so you kinda hold them off for a minute (or wipe them out) and wait for the Calvary. <-- Reason why I stopped going rogue lol.
-
3 RepliesAccidental rogue was probably at least half of that number. There's a problem with your turrets deciding to shoot other players for no reason, happened to us 4 times on Friday night.

If you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. I, for one, am glad these casuals are knowing their place. If you're too scared to play DZ as it was intended to be played, please do us all a favor and go back to the hand-holding of Destiny.

They have those big LED sign announcement that says "MARTIAL LAW IN EFFECT" Cant win the fight?? Dont start it
-
Only people i saw go rogue were the dicks who tried to kill me when i was extracting. Tried.

Dz is pvp everything is fair game we didnt make the rules they did

Edited by Vox Mortuis: 2/25/2016 12:19:08 PMThe problem is, more than likely 50%-75% of those didn't mean to go rogue, if you're in a match made team and 1 person decided to shoot another player, the whole team goes rogue. Edit: and yea, also the accidental rogues as talked about below.
-
Not all rogues went that way intentionally. All it means is that you did enough damage to another player to go over the line. But when you go into the DZ, all the protections against friendly-fire are turned off. So someone carelessly running into your life of fire. Someone stepping between your turret and its target. Even saw footage of one moron getting taken out by a sniper round to the head because he waded into a group of AI enemies that another group were taken on at range.....and another player shot him. Clearly thinking he was an AI enemy. The DZ has a lot potential...but there are still some issues that Ubisoft needs to work out.
-
So you don't want to play PvP in a PvP area? Makes perfect sense
-
Only 50% ? If gamers can troll or even grief other players in a game by just using game mechanics, they will. I am still not sure if that will hurt or improve playerbase on the long term, but I'm hinging towards hurt, because I already see a system where the rich get richer and the poor stay poor, and that will put off a lot of players.
-
It could be that many were just playing around because it's the beta, so there's no long term consequences for their actions. Some might act more cautiously in the final release I also noticed that something like only 25-30% of players (can't remember exact figure) actually ventured into the DZ. I'm sure ubisoft would want that figure higher, so would be investigating the reasons why, to make it more accommodating to as many people as possible - possibility a stricter penalty on going rogue. We'll see....

Well, considering it was a beta where most people reached max level fairly quickly, progress wasn't going to carry over, and it was all packed into a fraction of the actual Dark Zone's size, I'm guessing a lot of people got bored and decided to go rogue for fun. I know I did. And then there are just standard d-bags. But you'll find those in any game.
-
1 ReplySounds like 50% of that zone was filled with SISSIES.
-
Not the most robust system as you can go rogue accidentally.

And who asked you?

2 RepliesEdited by Rylor Threev: 2/24/2016 4:14:41 PM*Sees rogue agent Deploys turret CHARGE!!!!!!! Another agent helps on taking down the rogue agent The rogue starts running to the "out of bounds" zone Turret starts shooting the other agent I kill the rogue with 01:00 seconds left You died as a rogue agent* WHAT???? FCKNG TURRET!! Those are the only times I've been rogue, or if someone walked in front of my bullets, I haven't seen many rogues
-
Dude you didn't play the beta a good 30% of that percentage went rogue by either having some dbag run in front of there gun, being attacked by a turret and having to fight back because there's currently an exploit where you can throw down a turret shoot somebody once and it will kill them without making you go rogue, or accidentally shooting a player who was rogue but the timer ran out while you were shooting or accidentally mistaking a player for an enemy. Also you can find good gear in dark zone vendors inventory's and the only loot that's taken is contaminated loot besides going rogue in dark zone is not very appealing because you don't know what loot people are carrying, when you go rogue your marked on the map and everyone in the dark zone is encouraged to kill you until rogue times out, the timer is really long (1 1/2 minutes for killing one player) and gains time( doubles) as you attack players, and on top of that your level goes down for dying when dying in dark zone and the more rogue you are the more it goes down
-
You can unintentionally go rogue. I didn't care for the game myself but even i know this.
