Logged on after server maintenance and now it seems enemies, even lower ones, hit much harder and take less damage from shots. Enemies who used to be killed in 1 headshot now take 2+ shots to kill. For instance, the walker in the Ember Caves on Venus before the maintenance would only take 4 shots from my 316 Attack 1000-Yard Stare to take out a leg, but now take 8 shots. Enemy shots and melees hit harder now also. Another example, a level 4 eliminate the target enemy with an arc shield should take more than 40 damage points per hit from an arc 1000-Yard Stare, but that is exactly how much damage that was being dealt.

Bungie's Sandbox Team looked at the data and determined despite everyone leaving due to the nerfs in PVE weaponry, what we really wanted was stronger enemies.
