It absolutely blows my mind how people don't understand the concept of being able to play more than one game.

Name me some things the division beta did better than the destiny beta.

Man, I wanted to like it but I thought is was terrible... Retarded cover system, 3rd person view, terrible graphics, ordinary guns, bullet sponge humans.. Maybe I missed doing something because people seem to like it...

I can't wait to peruse the forums for The Division in about 2 months and see all the people calling Destiny better than The Divison and all the complaints about the game. It's always the same, everyone says the same shit about every game, everytime.

Can we talk about Ubi and AC? And how everything since 3 has sucked pretty hard? On the other hand, this is an IP. AC1 was pure gold. Probably the last one I actually played through more than once. I'm not trying to compare AC to The Division. I'm talking about Ubisoft in general here. Again... trends in gaming.

1 mission and a very smal playing area and already people claim its beter than Destiny. Maybe wait untill it is launched and then decide instead of basing it on an incomplete demo.

Spent the weekend playing BOTH Iron Banner and TheDivision. TheDivision is cool because you can "hang-out" in a team while just in the game, you can be doing something, or nothing much beside roaming about. So I like that a lot about it. Destiny has been out for 16-months, so of course, its not exactly rocket science (don't know why people keep acting like it's some great realization) that it will feel old, and the content will start to feel a bit boring after we've played it enough times. But as some others have mentioned, Destiny and TheDivision share a category as far as Online/Multiplayer and RPG'ish type Shooters. However, they also differ in category for other things, like FPS vs 3rd Person. So one won't replace the other. It will draw people away for a time, some even permanently. But I am not gonna stop playing Destiny because it's one of the best FPS-type games that *I* enjoy while being social. I'm also going to play TheDivision because it scratches that Fallout-type Multiplayer itch that I've had for a while. I feel like its a mix of GTA + Fallout + Gears of War. Which I think i will enjoy for quite some time. But again, Destiny scratches a different itch. It's pretty silly that almost EVERY hyped game that gets released is claimed to be the upcoming "Destiny-killer"... really, your PS4/Xbox was made to play more than one game. It's like that is some kinda big secret.

The issue with division will be balance. The DZ was very poorly balanced and can you imagine what it will be like once some ppl have been in for a week or two, let alone 3 days. Some ppl will be so op while newbies will be like lambs to the slaughter. If they don't do something to balance out the PvP so high level players are not so dominate then it will die. Plain and simple. Without a PvP arena that encourages new players the player base just won't get in there. EDIT so to clarify... 1. I played the beta extensively 2. I got all the best gear and guns I could including the Cadeceas so I'm not talking out of my a%#e 3. My concern is the separation of levels so new players continue to enter the DZ and level up without getting smashed too often. The game can only survive and develop if new players keep coming in. If it alienates them then it will die. 4. I know the dz is supposed to be separated into levels but that was not what I saw. I watched teams of 6s get mown down by one bloke with a Cadeceus (who we proceeded to kill with some effort as we did not have said gun at that time) 5. I watched ppl tank rounds running straight up to players and mow them down in less than one clip from said gun. Rounds should stagger you if your running I think.. Maybe These are only my thoughts and opinions based on what I saw and experienced in the beta. I'm certainly happy to be proven wrong. I hope for it.

Two different kind of games man, they will coexist until the division gets boring. Cover based shooters never really last too long man. A:Hey how did you beat the first boss? B: I found good cover and I shot him to death C: I ran through a time gate that takes me to the past or the future, I killed these oracle things that try to remove you from existence but they can't because I had this relic a dead guardian made by fusing himself with the alien technology to protect myself and my friends from being written out of the universe. I then use that relic to defend against the onslaught as my friends unload every round of ammunition they have until the boss shatters like glass!

More rewarding loot system and pvp isn't a total unscaled joke. And people aren't total douchebags in there. Seemed good to me just off those.

I'm glad you found a game you like, but, I'm sorry, that doesn't give you the industry insight to predict it's going to somehow end Destiny. Your friends playing the 3-day Beta before it closed is neither a viable sample set, nor proof that the same will hold true when the game opens for public access. I played one day of the Beta. I'm enamored with the story. The missions play really well with the mechanics. But the end-game, the DZ, has very little to offer. In theory it's fantastic. In practice it's tedious. They try to emulate the freedom of a game like EVE, within a small area. It's difficult to strategically avoid other players, and difficult to successfully maneuver out of a tough situation. The Rogue system doesn't offer much incentive and mostly attracts trolls. There are some situations where going Rogue is beneficial, but by and large it only stalls your DZ progression. In addition, in the Beta, there was no direction. No raid-like quests. No objectives of any type. If this is an indication of how the released version will run, it's going to get a malaise of its own. That being said, I cancelled my pre-order for the Gold edition. And I'll only buy the base game once I hear the game is worth the $60. But, to each their own. If you like it, great. Go play the game when it comes out. But using that as a means of propagating the negativity already rampant within the community is irresponsible and hypocritical, especially when considering the fact that you'll be playing Destiny until March 7th.
