Comment here your experience with Iron Banner Rift (Data for Deej/Bungie)
Edit: Decided to wrote out better the results. This could ALSO help for Bungie/Deej data for matchmaking and what people think of Iron Banner Rift. Note that I have not play it yet, when I do I will add up my experience
Edit 2: Wow... seen a lot fo replies, thanks. From what I have see, its spawntrapping, sniping and camping for the msot time. Eithe rits the worse lag, or no lag, what people comment
There are foods and drinks on the counter, just dont make mess >_< I always need to clean up by myself
My experience:
Played 12 games, my first 4 were solo. GOD the lag, and camping is real. the 4 games there wasnt a fireteam. I never joined a midmatch game, but every single game was enemy team double heavy, and losing by 12k points.
With my fireteam, we instead were steam-rolling. I will be doing this IB soly for the scout rifle, and artifact for my titan (infuse)

Yeah in ib so far I ran some solo and a lot of team matches. The solo matches were mostly close games but a couple hundred to a max of 25 difference. In the group we ran a full team of 6 while we only managed to mercy rule a few times and ran into some good random, and some horrible laggers. We mostly were up by 5 to 7k, I being top 3 and never grabbed the relic. We had a dedicated runner and me and another as defense for him

Run 3 solo and rest with a fire team. Fire team is the way to go this week. Ran into 1 game where we were all red bar. Rest was fine.

Played 8 games yesterday, 1/26/16. Minor Lag, but nothing crazy. Had a good time with the team I was with, looking forward to the rest of the week!

Went 18-2 running solo, only one game that had bad lag the rest were fine. Entered 3 matches after they had started but not too far in. Rift is a fun game mode, problem is too many people don't understand how to play objectives. Campers weren't a problem, just flanked them or avoided the area they camped on. Terrible lag. 6 randoms grouped against a full fireteam. People not playing the objective. Rewards do not match match placement.

Played like 6 games. Half had connection problems, but the other games were fine. I am just bad at the rift game type. In my opinion IB is not suited to rift. Prefer the killing of fellow guardian's over a game of tag. Sorry not my cup of tea

1 ReplyI'm not going as far as quitting the habit (Destiny), but damn is it PAINFUL trying to enjoy IB rift. I intentionally skip that format since it's fireteam-dependent, and I'd rather play solo when I have the time. The amount of solo teams getting mercied by parties of 4+ is tough to suffer through... actually getting comical. And the drops? Don't get me started on low-level rate gear drops in an activity that requires already being high-level light. "Well that sucked. Maybe I'll get good loot... Nope, just 260 boots. Guess I'll try one more 20K-10K beating."

1 ReplyHad some good matches and had some bad. But then again, that's what you'll get if you go in without a fireteam. It's just a roll of the dice. Noticed a little bit of lag but nothing horrible. Either way it's still fun. Just hoping I get that warlock helm to drop and hopefully some higher level gear.

IB Rift is more fun that I thought it would be. Solo queuing hasn't been too bad. Occasional 3-4 game skid of being blown out. My only problem is with the drops. Played for 6 hours yesterday and didn't get a single thing i could use. all 280 and below. If you're 310+ can it be made to drop, at least 75% of the time, 290+?? Other than that some lag and alot of red bars but more enjoyable than i thought going in.

1 ReplyI have played 18 matches solo and one match in a fireteam. Won 58% of the matches. Lag was a problem in 2 matches (won one, lost the other). I have won one match with a mercy rule and been on the other end for another. The rest of the matches have been fairly close affairs. One was memorable as a win of us random solo players against a full team of six that came down to the last dunk. Been having fun honestly.

Man oh man was I wrong. I didn't think it'd be fun. I didn't think I'd like it. But boy oh boy. I'm like Micheal Vick when I get that spark. I was pretty much the designated spark runner on my team. And I almost always got into their rift. I was doing amazing. I surprised myself. Great time. Hope the next one is rift as well

Edited by contra_reality: 1/27/2016 4:29:42 PMOh, I like to comment on the poor map design of some of the maps for Rift, most notably Momento and Vertigo. Basically if you have two teams who know how to play, one team is guaranteed to win solely based on what spawn they get. For example, Bravo spawn on Momento. The team who spawns bravo will win unless they have absolutely no clue how to play and decide to camp their spawn with snipers.

It's awesome I dont give a @#$% bout lag or mid game join ins, I lost a lot but using my thorn at 300 I was slaying campers at the spark. the game is a rush

2 RepliesHere is my experience in iron banner yesterday... Get put into the middle of a game when my team is already down by thousands of points and half the players are red or yellow bar. Stay in just to get the obvious medallion that is forthcoming in about a minute or two. Back out of that shitty team and get stuck into another game with the same outcome. After 4 or 5 medallions I finally get a game from the start and we win. Stay in the lobby with the decent team that was assembled (even though half were red bar) and what message do I see? "This team is disbanded and we are finding you a better match"..REALLY??? Get stuck into the middle of another game and start the process all over....What the -blam!- man???? I swear to god there is -blam!-ing idiots that program the rules for this game. You seriously need to have these programmers play the -blam!-ing game before you implement these stupid hidden parameters.....

4 RepliesIt is so annoying with the lag, I shot a Golden Gun Hunter with machine gun, and it looked like he/she had an overshield that went down a little, then I was dead. Same game a Titan warping around. The so called new matchmaking works just fine....

Stomping teams who misread the game objective as "stand in a row at spawn and hardscope away from spark where nobody travels" Seriously, next iron banner should be a 6 v 6 who can hardscope at a box the longest competition...
