I have noticed that all special events involve the Crucible with great rewards and commendations for participating. My question is: What about PvE players? I play almost exclusively PvE. I do not enjoy PvP and I'm not very good at it. I would like to be able to gain rewards from special events like the one upcoming in February without having to grind Crucible matches to do so. I don't enjoy it and I'm sure other players in my fireteam don't appreciate my relative incompetence. I would love to see special events involve PvE players and make us feel less like the ugly stepchildren.

Special events for PVP usually involve repackaging some already available game mode. Special events for PVE require a whole lot more work, even with Bungie's habit of re-using missions. It comes down to cost and laziness. And Bungie showed us long ago that they care a lot less about the quality of the game than the revenue it generates.

1 Replynope. the game is mostly PVE. the only time PVP players have a chance at high light gear is during these events. balance.

I would like to see more PvE based events too...unfortunatly, I feel like Bungie doesn't give a flying-f about the PvE players. They seem to really want everyone to play PvP. This is why I think this this way: *Introduction of exotics/quests that require you to play PvP (think exotic swords/Vanguard class items) *Weapon balances catered to PvP complainers *Only offering PvP special events *Weekly/monthly PvP game modes that drop high level gear *Quests that require so much grinding that you want to punch babies (thinking exotic swords, specifically) Now, the only thing that Bungie can do to confirm my suspicions would be to add dedicated servers. I feel like it will be coming soon... Don't get me wrong, I love this game and have had a lot of fun playing, but I also don't worry about reaching max light/level, so I have reasons to play the PvE. Still, PvE events would break up the monotony of grinding for days/weeks/months just to get a damn exotic/complete a quest. Anyway, thanks for the post, OP. Game on!
