Solar subclass:pyromaniac
Description: let the world burn
Super:Explosive Rage: your guardian engulfs nearby Minions of the darkness and guardians (in pvp), Perk 1: Fire storm (basically aftermath), Perk 2: Suicide Bomber( lunge at a nearby enemies and then detonate killing you, but, doubles the blast radius) Perk 3: Focused rage( send a wave of fire at your foes, basically a solar shockwave)
Special ability: Tackle (similiar to shoulder charge but only stuns a specific target pinning them to the ground or a wall, allowing you to use your melee ability while they are stunned, Note: if you don't defeat your target in time they will recover an continue to attack you)
Arc Subclass: Immovable object
Description: A Coullum of light in the darkness
Super: Totem of Light (your character becomes frozen and invincible, but all nearby allies have a range of buff, 25% damage resistance, 25% boost to recovery and a 25% boost to damage) Note: your character will be unable to move until the super energy is all used up.
Void Subclass: Reaper
Description: Send them to the void
Super: Scythe of the void: (summon a scythe from the void, similair to the bladedancer, perk 1: Throw your scythe at your enemies(range of the average fusion rifle and it will return to you), Perk 2: Grip of death (pull your enemies to yourself), perk 3: Blood lust (Increase the attack speed of the scythe).
Special ability: Decoy (similiar to the hologram from halo)
Custom Melee: bassically you look like your pulling out a war axe and chopping your foes

8 RepliesI had one myself: [spoiler]Hey guys, jdog11356 here. I have an idea for a new class should bungie choose to make another one. Class Name- TechMaster Arc Subclass: Arc Dispersal- All enemies within a 20 foot radius are blinded and slowed for 10 seconds. This subclass focuses on disabling your enemies so your teammates can go in for the kill. This puts you in a radiance-type state. If you are killed in said-state, your super ends. Perks: Friend or Foe- Ally's in AoE gain an over shield and agility boost. Enemies take DoT. Shield Disruptor- Shuts down all enemy shields in AoE. Shields recharge slower. Enhanced Battery- All effects last longer. Larger radius. Your super drains slower. Void Subclass: Speed Doctor- All teammates shields, grenades, and melees recharge faster. Passing a teammate begins health regeneration. This subclass really focuses on teamwork. It allows you to heal teammates and make them faster. Puts you in a near invincible state, however you can deal no damage. 3rd person only. Perks: Trypanophobia- Passing by an enemy injects him with a needle dealing DoT. Overdose- Passing a teammate gives them an over shield. Increases Agility. Life-Bringer- Passing a dead teammate will bring them back from the dead. Teammates supers charge faster. Solar Subclass: Orbital Strike- Using a hacked Rasputin Satellite, toss a beacon which calls down a solar laser and lasts 5 seconds. This subclass is the aggressive subclass of the 3. You toss a beacon, in a nova bomb like manner. It activates and summons a large solar beam (about 6-8 feet) and deals massive damage for 5 seconds. Perks: Cluster-Strike- Throw down a maximum of 3 beacons. Smaller radius & decreased damage. No Need To Zoom- Increased blast radius. More damage. A.I. Tracking- Laser tracks enemies. It should be icy or aquatic of some sort the titans should have a roam around storm super that has like powerful sunsinger self res melee and grenades with a blink/shoulder charge type of jump Hunters should have a weapon like super with a water shadestep Warlock should have a blade dancer like super with an evade that turns them to water

3 RepliesI think a Light and Dark subclass should come first. Here's what I was thinking for a Titan: Titan Sub-class. Element: Light Super: Sporadic Light; Unleash a maelstrom of blinding light, causing victims in close combat to explode into white flames, whilst blinding victims outside the blast radius. Transcendence: Click RS to Blink to a blinded enemy. Blink Blind: Upon activation, you're automatically teleported to the closest victim where you will release your Light. Melee. Arc of Light: Release an intensified arc of Light Flame from your fist. Light shield; Causing damage with Arc of Light gains a protective shield of Light that can block massive damage but only from your next attacker. Mark of Light; Illuminates your victims closest ally for you and your Fireteam for a short time. Blinding Light; Gaining a kill with Arc of Light causes a Blinding Light that disorientates nearby enemies. Grenades. Pulse Grenade: A pulsing vortex of Light that damages enemies caught in it's radius. Wall of Light: A wall of Blinding Light that reduces incoming damage and disorientates enemies that come into contact. Holonade: A grenade that creates an active Hologram of the user. Touching the Hologram causes disorientation. - Element: Dark (Still thinking about it)

Something like a mechanist/engineer that builds light constructs such as gun turrets and other defensive structures to bolster a team. A "summoner" class that fights using familiars would also be a nice contrast.

Yeah those sound like awesome ideas, I have one more. I haven't figured out all the details yet but it would be void and be called necromancer. You could essentially do the same thing that the hive wizards do but wouldn't be shadow thrall

1 ReplySorry, but I voted no. The way bungie designed the classes leaves little room for another class that isn't similar to the trio (mage, thief, warrior). I was trying to come up with a class idea related to the class specific weapons given by the gun smith. Titan: shotguns and auto rifles. Hunter: sniper rifles and hand cannons. Warlock: fusion rifles and scout rifles. ???????: sidearms and pulse rifles. Judging by this, it seems like an additional class would fit, but then another issue pops up, subclasses. Solar, Void, and Arc seem to fit the 3 well. A fourth subclass would probably be necessary for it to fit better. Likewise another vanguard...and maybe another character race. It's just too much to expect from bungie.

A 4th class...........involving time and space alteration......tele/psychokineses...the ability to pause time, move objects, appear in two places as distraction,...throw a tank/helicopter at the enemy.etc.. allow fellow team guardians to shift and move fire point locations, find safe passage...( all in 5 second bursts).........bring confusion to the horde...... A name?...........I'll Throw that one out there.....

Considering the difficulty they are having with balancing the 9 subclasses, I do not think adding another 3 is a good idea. Who knows though. Maybe they will figure something out.
