None of the other supers have to worry about these problems.
Those that don't know:
Arc blade was stealth nerfed at ttk launch.
Because people didn't know how to shotgun melee at the time.
Now the super is shorter, slower, has nerfed melee range, and has terrible hit detection, especially in air.

Pay close attention to how aggressive the lunge is. Especially when he's in the air.
It looks like I didn't come close.
Year 1 the range was longer and faster.
Those that actually played pvp all year 1 would notice.
For a super that requires you to be up close, this is pretty bad.

The reason I kept chasing him was because I wanted to see how many misses I can get in a single video.

Why I didn't use it in crowd?
Every time I use arc blade and run at a crowd.
I just trade with a player, or I get killed by every other super in game.
Conspiracy theory vs arc blade every time.
Also hammers seem to be a bit broken too.
They sometimes detonate a bit too early when tracking a player, causing player to survive.
Blink strike doesn't always connect.
Instead of nerfs. Can we get some fixes?
Also you pve players that know little to nothing about year 1 arc blade, that actually believe this was just a series of misses.

I can't tell you how many times I've melee'd someone during radiance and ended up not getting a hit marker, doing 0 damage, taking my melee charge away AND not giving me my freaking flame shield leaving me to die. You'll be happy to get one kill and live, let alone two or more. The melee is having big troubles hitting targets few feet in front of me, sometimes the backstab doesn't work at all. (anger intensifies) Oh and if it's not bad enough that the super and melee are -blam!-ed up, why not kill the grenades too? Flux grenade can't even one hit, arc bolt has 2m range and does less damage than a babyfart, skip grenade is the only nade worth using but even that is botched by shitreg. Just like axion bolt, it sometimes doesn't even do damage because the target they're after has a god damn 13th century 0,1 megabits/s dialup. And don't even get me started on how nitpicky the grenade is with the terrain and material of the surface you decide throw it on. Basically, may god almighty have some damn mercy on your poor soul if you want to main bd. GOD DAMN. It wasn't a stealth nerf to blade dancer. They changed the way melee hit detection occurs for TTK I believe. I'm not sure where, but in pretty sure I read that/heard it on a podcast. I think there's an issue with blade dancer because it's melee and when it tries the normal hit detection plus super detection, if there's lag, it screws up.

They need to fix hit detection. Rocket, blade dancer, hammer of sol, and regular melee all have been really weird

Ok well the only thing that needs fixing is hit detection. I hate to be that guy but sunbreaker cauterize got nerfed, burning should at least stop health regen

That was painful to watch... I main Hunter but rarely bladedancer anymore because of this. Honestly, when I see a bladedancer coming towards me I wave and let them kill me. It's too easy to either run away or shotgun them in the face.

It's painful, all they have to do is keep jumping and you're finished. I loved my hunter but I've started using my Titan and warlock more now because of this bs

Only reason i use BD is for blink and quick switch. The super is only good against noobs lol. Vets usually know how to handle them better but its really those 2 perks that make the blade dancer awesome and im fine with it. Plus you can pop super to scare people and just get the rez lol, works 8 out of 10 times

Before the nerf you could kill a bladedancer with a shotgun and good timing. I've even managed to headshot kill them with a sniper. It's harder to do because you have to guess where they'll be in the next dash. Stormcaller will be next. Especially because it lasts so long and some are taking advantage of their familiarity with the spawn points. It's so annoying to get killed by a stormcaller twice. Once in battle and as soon as you respawn.

12 RepliesLol... that and golden gun are the only 2 supers that ever wipe a team out in 3v3. Run from sunsinger, sunbreaker, stormcaller. Blink or jump or shadestep or garrison out of the way of striker, void walker, and tether. But, prepare to die when bladedancer or golden gun pop.

What's funny is that a legitimate strategy me and my trial group run is if you are being chased by a blade dancer, stay in the air as long as you can. 90% of the time we all come out unharmed which is ridiculously cheap. But whatever.

16 RepliesI get what you're saying to a point. I spent a shit load of time in the banner this week and the super that killed me the most was fist of panic and blade dance. I could kill hammers and gold gun with a little baiting and jumping. I even killed a few nova bombs and nightstalkers, but the supers I couldn't kill was fist of panic and blade dance. Only way I was killing blade dancer was if he was already weak and I had rockets. I literally have about 30 videos of me using rockets on blade dancer and fist of panic, and them walking away like I shot them with a nerf gun. Everyone other super went down with a rocket, but neither of those would. I'm not telling you to get good, I'm telling you to maybe change up what way you're using it or how you approach it. I get shit on when I blade dance but shotgun all the time but then like I said I have videos of people eating 2 or 3 truths before they drop.
