They claim they are microtransaction only, and once they have boat loads of YOUR cash, they make them free, and run with your money as there will be no more real dlc until Destiny 2.
Thoughts about this? This is a joke.
For those too lazy to click the link, they are now rng nightfall rewards.
Edit: for all the people who can't comprehend the thread, THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU SPENDING MONEY HOW YOU WANT, OR IT BECOMING FREE.
It is about them saying it was microtransaction ONLY, with no word about it being early/Instant access, or that it would later be added as ingame rng rewards. This was never mentioned. This is just bad communication, a frequent problem here, and a way for them to create demand, take the money and run, and then say they are doing it for the players.
I literally do not care what you spend your money on, or how rich you say you are. Use your brain for a few seconds and actually comprehend the topic at hand.

1 ReplyJesus man, everyone was mad that you had to pay for them. Now people are complaining that they got what they wanted and can get them for free. You people are never happy.
-
Who cares? Its like everything else the longer you wait the cheaper you will probably get it. You want to be the first you have to pay up.
-
1 ReplyWhat about the price of ps4 and xbone would you have purchased them when they first came out if you knew they were going to be 250 this past black Friday weekend?
-
The only good thing to come out of the introduction of silver, is screwing over the people silly enough to buy it. Masterful!
-
1 ReplyI don't remember them saying it was only going to be available through microtransactions? I'm not bothered though, honestly getting an emote through RNG would be like getting kicked in the dick.
-
Lmao this is awesome
-
True that best way for this to work is have them as microtransactions and as earnable in game at the same time.
-
This just in, material items depreciate in value over time. Are you going to pay full price for a game that came out years ago? Digital items or tangible, same difference.
-
1 ReplyDo dlc because you guys fall for it year 1 best. Now wait destiny 3 sep 9 lol. No dlc no content for a year money grab.

What lol

1 ReplyI see it as, nobody is doing nightfalls any more. Emotes are old now. What better incentive.?
-
Who cares. Freeloaders gonna be freeloaders. This won't go Unnoticed, don't worry
-
1 ReplyConfirmed? I never supported microtransactions, but if this is true.... it's bad..
-
1 ReplyIt's ok. Either pay and get it now or grind nightfalls until the end of time for it. I paid for them, and I am ok with people randomly receiving emotes.
-
Which is exactly why I didn't buy more silver... knowing bungie they would do this eventually. Not rip us off but free stuff but people complain about free stuff any ways.
-
Edited by GarrisonWhite2: 12/9/2015 2:25:40 PMHonestly I don't really care that much. Sure it is kind of frustrating that I could have gotten some of them without paying, but there wouldn't have been any guarantee, and for most of them I'm glad I bought them. Some of them I don't care about as much, but in the grand scheme of things, it's not any different than dropping a few bucks on a soda and a candy bar a few times a week at the convenience store. And I say this as a college student with a part time job. And if it means stuff like SRL and Festival of the Lost can exist, I'd say it's worth it.
-
7 RepliesPrecedent has been set by Festival of the Lost, where everything (mask/Festival related) Tess sold for money was technically available by RNG. This is little different. The benefit of ponying up is obvious: get the emotes you actually want. Getting a couple per week possibly in a Nightfall still doesn't guarantee any particular emote, as far as I understand it.
-
4 RepliesI actually received a "Fall 2015" emote as a nightfall reward. I never bought one. Now I have one that everyone else paid for when the micro transactions released. Ahhh feels good not to fall for their money scam.
-
1 ReplyAgreed. Never buying a thibg again from her.
-
Congrats!! You have a chance to get an emote I've had for quite some time and have been regularly enjoying.

4 RepliesGet off the forums if you hate the game so much!
-
So... You're mad because why? Bungie didn't tell us that the emotes would drop from the loot tables at a later date? Wtf lol. Thinking so retrospectively is pointless, the deed is done, and it's for the better.
-
4 RepliesWould have been nice to have had this when Ever verse first launched but I still don't think it's a bad thing.
