After Bungie took your money, they handed out emotes for free. What a scam.

They claim they are microtransaction only, and once they have boat loads of YOUR cash, they make them free, and run with your money as there will be no more real dlc until Destiny 2.
Thoughts about this? This is a joke.
For those too lazy to click the link, they are now rng nightfall rewards.
Edit: for all the people who can't comprehend the thread, THIS IS NOT ABOUT YOU SPENDING MONEY HOW YOU WANT, OR IT BECOMING FREE.
It is about them saying it was microtransaction ONLY, with no word about it being early/Instant access, or that it would later be added as ingame rng rewards. This was [u]never[/u] mentioned. This is just bad communication, a frequent problem here, and a way for them to create demand, take the money and run, and then say they are doing it for the players.
I literally do not care what you spend your money on, or how rich you say you are. Use your brain for a few seconds and actually comprehend the topic at hand.

The only thing I have a problem with is them selling bow down. It was an exclusive emote to those who bought the collectors edition which a day one player. Now it means nothing.

Seems kinda shady to me, I just don't partake in silver purchases though. Either way the best way to avoid this issue is just don't buy silver.

Never bought silver, nor have I used the free 400 silver given to us. Glad to see emotes are now rewards.

9 RepliesI agree with you. You point is that you bought something that you could only get through purchase and that that would be the only way to get it....and under that pretense. Had you known that it would be offered for free at any point, you may not have spent money on it. I thought about buying an emote. Glad i didn't. It is very similar to Xbox Live that gives away free games every month without refunding players who previously bought the game.

8 RepliesLol. The whole point of selling transactions is to make money. If they said they would give them for free later no one would buy it. Since they didn't say you will only be able to get them through microtransactions, it's fair game. Think of it this way. You bought a Xbox One for $500, you find out a year later that they are selling for $350. How many people do you think would have bought the Xbox One for $500 if they knew it would be $150 less a year later? Do you complain when your shampoo goes on sale the day after you buy it?

The live team has stated this from the beginning. We are basically funding the live team up front. This time around, we got sparrow racing out of the deal. It is a direct result of us spending our money to invest in the game. They are giving the emotes out now as a kind of "thank you" to the community for those that didn't fund the startup of SRL. They aren't available for purchase now anyways. So, and I'm trying to keep this short so you're misguided bitter and primitive logic can keep up, you are correct that people who didn't do squat to support and promote the live team are getting these emotes. They are getting them later when they aren't as popular due to newer emotes being available and it is RNG, so they may not even get what they want. Think of it like this if it helps. You know those funds raiser candy bars that kids sell in school? Well it's like bunjie sold us fund raising emotes and when they were able to reach their goal, enough to fund the next live team event, they gave the rest of their candy away for free. Now take off you tin foil conspiracy hat and explain to me how that is a bad thing like an adult... Edit: Also, they didn't "take the money and run". That would indicate that we aren't getting anything from our purchase. As I explained above, it funded the development of the current event...

It was also never mentioned that PS+ or Games With Gold would offer the games I bought for free either :( Honestly though. If it seriously dropped emotes for me in a Nightfall I'd probably turn this game off for a long while. If I wanted them I would buy them.
