Would have liked it better if there were different classes of sparrows with different stats, sparrow upgrades like weapons and smoke screen, emp, like Wipeout. Also needs more tracks, and not just racing backwards. Racing the same 2 tracks is fun for 5 minutes, but the grind required to complete some of the bounties will just make people burnout that much quicker. also would have said 3 weeks is way to long for the event. maybe make it special and only have it for a week, like Iron Banner? Also ranked events with a leaderboard

5 RepliesEverest ruins it. Not because it gives anyone an advantage or anything like that, but putting that steep of a price for three weeks is crazy. Why do a DLC with thought and effort when the community is telling you, "hey, I'll throw $20 down for a book and some sparrows and horns for three weeks every month, plus whatever crap y'all can think of for me to sink money in to."

I reach 2nd place and I get one strange coin. I reach last place and I get SRL gear(Most of which are helmets, and I already have the helmet I want) and a strange coin. Either the loot system in this game still sucks, or this game -blam!-ing hates me.

1 ReplyI love it. Since I started playing Destiny I've wanted a way to race my sparrow and now that I have the Lightrunner I can't stop riding it. I love SRL. That being said there's sooooooooo many flaws in the system. Heres a few fixes: #1 As everyone has said if you fall behind for any reason you're done for. This comes from everyone having the exact same Sparrow speed. There needs to be faster sparrows or better ways to get ahead. #2 More enemies, more chances to die, respawn countdown at the back of the pack. This would help eliminate tight groups of people smashing their way towards gates and spread people out further. #3 Gates. Oh Lord I don't know where to begin... Either make it so there's no collision in the game as sparrow hits sparrow or gates need to be on the ground and larger to promote equal spacing. Yeah I get knocking someone from a gate is tactical, but 5 people smashed together trying to hit the gate is ridiculous and slowing down is out of the question same for missing it. Larger gates would be very helpful. #4 Gear can help speed you up. Perhaps the higher your light level the faster you go. Just a thought, but it sucks for us lower light players. #5 Maps... Mars is excellent, I love the map and it's a blast. Venus however is very poor design especially for 6 people trying to smash their way around corners. Alright I'm running out of ideas, but I'd like to see a way to play just your friends, more deaths and harsh punishment for deaths, and generally a better way to spread out everyone. As it is now it feels completely cramped and we're all trying to get to the gate but we all can't fit. All complaining aside though Bungie this was awesome! I adore my new Sparrows =)

Got boring fast, 2 same tracks, over and over... but good rewards. Coins, reputation and 350 glimmer per game! ! Soo gonna buy tons of weapon parts lol

I like the SRL much and yesterday with our fireteam we really had lots of fun and laugh each other, made my day for sure... There could be always positive and negative sides of a new released content. They can be addded or removed in time, the fact is having fun for me and SRL is doing it good. Only issue i experienced so far is the nameplates in screen. Specially if you are the last position in the race those are blocking your vision ..

2 RepliesFun but has a lot of flaws. One very big one is that once you fall behind, its nearly impossible to catch up no matter how hard you race. There should be some mechanic in place to not really give you a large advantage, but to at least get you back in the action.

Add private matches for custom matches. Add spectator mode. It will grow its own mini racing community.

Liked it. Fun distraction. Best done with friends. I was playing pretty much nothing but Motogp on xbox 10 years + back and thought it prepared me somewhat. [spoiler]but motogp doesn't have rotating fans of death haha[/spoiler]

Not going to lie when they first announced it i was like...jesus christ thats it this is the end of Destiny, the game is finished they have ran out of ideas. Its over, my destiny career is over. My goodness, proved so wrong. It great, very very addictive reminds me of Wipeout! So suprised. saying that tho i still hope they have DLC planned for next year.
