I got hooked to gaming in a funny way. A guy I liked came over to show me his game and I had no desire to watch or anything. He forgot it and one day I put it in.
Final fantasy VIII in the original PlayStation. I got addicted. Played and played and played and changed the discs. Then got to the end of the game and realized I hadn't gotten doom train. So I had a heck of a time defeating the boss in fact I didn't. So I started over. Literally worked my ass off to beat that game with no guides or Internet to look at to figure out how to do it. When the end came I cried I won't lie. Hundreds of hours... Side quests, trying to level my characters, pass the tests to get more money.
What was your first game that got you hooked? What was your story?

Edited by BladeEdge545: 12/8/2015 3:25:26 PMGames that got me hooked as a gamer? Depends on the perspective. My very..very first was Scooby-Doo Monster mayhem - something for the ps2 (my sister won a ps2 from a radio station) I was probably like 5 or 6.. There was RuneScape (the golden age) in 2007 For last gen console gaming was super paper Mario for the wii.. that was a bloody masterpiece. Super Mario Galaxy also deserves a mention. Somewhere in the 2008-2011 area I got a DS lite/Dsi . Pokémon platinum was my first Pokémon game. In 2012 I bought my Xbox 360. Halo got me really hooked then (although I played halo on frequent occasions before I got my own) And now I currently reside on a xbox one and a smallish library of steam with a stock hp laptop from 2012 That's a brief summary of my gaming history

Mass effect trilogy. I saw it and I thought I'd buy the trilogy bundle. I fell in love instantly. I completed part 1 twice, part 2 3 times, and part 3 3 times. Then I continued with the multiplayer. Also halo reach. I don't know man but I've never felt like that to another halo ever. It just have that attractiveness. Each time you think about it you think about having a good time in a full custom lobby. Good days, can't wait to see it on xbox one.

Wasn't really into gaming when I was young, sure it was interesting, but seemed dull and pointless. When I was nine, my dad bought me a PS2 with Spiderman and Yu-Gi-Oh! Duellist of the Roses (pretty sure that's the title). Still, I played outside in the sandbox, or at the park with my only two friends (at the time). But the game I was hooked to when it came out was…
Halo 2
