-cosmetics in destiny have no impact on ANY arenas, yet people use that as reasoning for why destiny sucks.
-Those people then point to halo as a superior alternative.
-Meanwhile, halo has microtransactions that DO objectively offer items that can be used competitively in game. Whether warzone is a competitive arena (to you) or not.[/quote]

2 RepliesThe items in halo are easily obtainable without money just 3 matches to get a silver 5 for a gold they did the right thing. Not to mention they are temp power ups that have no long term effect on the overall gameplay. In destiny you cannot obtain the items in game also. Other games offer free dlc or map packs to compensate. If destiny does this then it will work out but this has yet to be seen.

15 RepliesHalo isn't destiny. I know it's a shock to the system isn't it. But take deep breaths and you'll come to terms with it eventually
-
You can earn req points in game as well not solely through micros
-
Err... microtransactions in Halo 5 are constantly being argued over. It's super controversial. Hell, everything is.
-
Actually quite a lot of people are upset about the micro transactions, at least from what I've heard.
-
7 RepliesFrom what I've seen, you can earn REQ points in-game at a reasonable rate. You can't do the same with Silver. If you want ANY cosmetic item from Eververse, you have to pay for it all.
-
2 RepliesPeople do mind about the micro transactions in halo.
-
4 RepliesYou fool! Anything you can buy within halo 5 you can buy with earnt points in the game. The largest pack is around £2.60, you can buy that with 10,000 in game points which takes around TWO to THREE games to earn! That is NOT the same as only being able to get something buy spending money!
-
15 Replieshalo isnt a 140$ game either
-
1 ReplyI don't get how csgo does something similar to what bungie did with the emotes, but no one complains about keys in csgo being $2.50. People literally complain about anything just so they have something to complain about.
-
4 RepliesI don't care, I sold my Xbox after halo 5 was pretty disappointing. Beautiful game but lack of split screen, boss recycling, and my multiplayer not functioning sent me over the edge.
-
You don't have to spend real money to get the Req packs. You just have to be patient and grind for req points
-
Cosmetic items don't bother me. But the prices Bungie has set are ridiculously steep. $20 for 3-4 emotes is nowhere near the equivalent of content that came in either of the Y1 DLCs at the same price. The collector in me wants all of them. Considering how much $$$ that would be, I haven't bothered to buy any. All emotes should be roughly half the (amount or less) of their current price, with collections bundled together for even cheaper to align the prices with other games' cosmetic microtransaction offerings. The emotes are awesome, but only being able to equip one at a time along with the steep pricetag just makes them not worth it to me.
-
2 RepliesI don't get it, they don't affect gameplay at all. Why do people care?
-
1 ReplyIn Halo 5 we get free DLC because of the microtransactions. In Destiny we are supporting a service we already had before, the live team. To make it very clear WE DO NOT GET FREE DLC IN DESTINY BECAUSE OF THE MICROTRANSACTIONS. This is just another way for them to make some extra cash. I refuse to believe that every dollar that is made from emotes is going into the live teams budget. Sure we might get some little events like the festival of light but let's be honest, that was underwhelming to say the least. H5 will release new free maps and weapons to unlock for free. Also, might I mention that you can actually buy the req packs with an in game currency? Can't do that in Destiny. I've actually bought a few emotes. I don't hate microtransactions but I understand why people complain about them in Destiny.
-
Bungievision has lied about almost every aspect of this game. You can't believe they're never gonna sell usable, game changing equipment.
-
1 ReplyBecause hating on Destiny is the"cool" thing.
-
not to defend 343 but they are releasing their dlc for free
-
1 ReplyI think both are dumb and anyone spending real cash on this is also dumb
-
Warzone is not competitive It is borderline pay to win Also halo 5 is the exact opposite from destiny pvp It's not fun It's too MLG try hard sweaty I had to put a towel under my Xbox after going into lobby after lobby dripping with sweat
-
5 RepliesIkr For an average player it takes like 680 hours just for everything which is absolutely ridiculous
-
1 ReplyAt least they were up front and that shit was there right out of the gate. Bungie likes to sugarcoat and beat around the bush and it makes them seem shady.
-
2 Replies343 has been very transparent and up-front with their intentions towards microtransactions. Bungie? Yeah, no. That's why.
-
Well you don't even need to actually buy em. You just earn the req points. You can either buy or warn em through playing which I don't mind. If it was full on buying em , then it would be different
-
1 ReplyHalo 5 didn't explicitly say that they would NEVER have micro transactions. Bungie DID. Also, Halo 5 has them at the launch of the game and not one year in. Huge difference. If those emotes were available to be bought from day one and nobody from bungie said "We will never have micro transactions" then I guarantee nobody would give a damn.
-
5 RepliesYeah I've noticed people aren't really saying much about the micro trans that affect your gameplay in halo 5 But that a probably because the fans are too busy sucking 343's -blam- to actually say anything about that I'm not saying destiny is innocent, its also at fault But halo ain't getting bashed on as badly as destiny did And all bungie did were add emotes to purchase where as 343 made so many things that would actually Impact your gameplay
