How can people be so skilled at sniping?
I think I just need to vent, so here it goes. I just played a game of salvage, and two of the guys on the other team were the best snipers I've ever seen. Every time I saw that red glint, before I could even react, I was already dead. It was seriously as if they were using an aim bot. Even if I'm shooting them, it's like they experience no flinch at all. I'm a down right rotten sniper, but it still blows my mind how ridiculously good some people are.
Edit: Wow, this is still up? Like I said, I only posted this to vent.

1 ReplyAfter playing a lot of SWAT on halo 5, I've come to realize having a radar makes sniping a lot easier in crucible. When you've got a little time to prepare and know the general direction your enemy is in, it's not hard to point your gun in that direction and wait till someone walks into your crosshairs. When playing SWAT, you've literally got a split second to react to the threat and put them down. There's no radar, as soon as you hear them or see them on your screen, you gotta aim and shoot, and hope the other guy didn't do it quicker than you. I'll admit, when doing trials before TTK, going flawless was easy on maps like widows court and the shrine because all you had to do was hard scope when someone pops up on your radar and wait till they foolishly run straight into your sights, not really much skill involved, just reflexes.

I've used snipers since launch, only ever used shotguns for quests, bounties or if it is needed in trails :)

I have been using a sniper since dark below. I literally never use a shotgun. Sometimes I use ldr 5001 and i don't know how but sometimes right as I scope in on someone I shoot before the scope is fully up and get a headshot

Some people, tk no scope, get a sticky note, cut it up and then stick it to the centre of the ADS reticle. Then, every time they need a no scope, just wip the sniper out and Blam!

Keyboard and mouse sadly picked up a lot. You can tell when there's unusually high sniping skills but they can't handle close range

I got two friends on this that are unbelievably good at sniping I asked her how she does it she said she's just able to. guess some people are just better with snipers than others no matter how hard you practice lol

Oh, its so cute now that no-skill shotgunners are complaining about aim assist on snipers... 1. AA doesn't make up for skill, you still need to aim for the little head or your dead 2. There isn't any sway or holding your breath because you have to aim for the head, all other games where you need to hold your breath for the sway to stop, every chest shot is a One-shot-kill 3. If you think its so easy to get headshots with a sniper consistently than play with a sniper in ToO and we'll see the rage quit 4. Yes alot of snipers are using the 1000 yard stare not because its AA, but because its the only decent sniper in year 2 that kills of off revive, the other choose being eirene which sights just such 5. If there were more snipers like year one's longbow, ldr, benevolence and the veil we would've seen diversity but there aren't any 6. AA doesn't make the head hitbox bigger, it just slows down the reticle while dragging over it 7. EVERY gun in Destiny has a high aim assist, which is understandable since the game is fast and there are alot of plays mid air, otherwise it'll be really hard to hit shots with you primary. 8. Bungie did nerf the AA on sniper in the 2.0 patch 9. Even shotguns have a high AA values 10. If bungie should nerf the AA on snipers than its only fair to nerf it on all other weapons 11. Get good scrubs and stop crying because a skilled player owned you with a sniper, they would've probably done the same with any other weapon type Now let the trolling commence...
