Bad players tend to think that they are actually much better than they actually are.
Good players tend to underestimate their own skill and think their abilities are lower than what they actually are.
Edit: Kindly pointed out my another user, there is actual factual evidence behind this: https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect

1 ReplyEdited by PecosBill27: 11/3/2015 12:24:13 AMI'd like to think I'm good... But just can't come to accept that. Where do I stand?!?!?!
-
That's life in general . I think good people are good because there not full of them selfs and see if they do something wrong not blame others .

2 RepliesDo not think the concept is set in stone. This idea may cover a wider variety of situations, but do not assume it to be the one and only truth. There are many excellent players who admit they are better than most. There are craptastic players who know they suck. This effect might apply to a larger number of cases, but it is not always correct to think that the majority of your own experiences will line up with it.

I'm aware I'm pretty average, if not terrible, and I'm okay with that. My friends are pretty awesome, and they're aware of it too. /shrug

3 RepliesEdited by Mandala Song: 11/2/2015 7:55:13 AMThat is what is known in psychology as the dunning-kreuger effect. Check it - https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dunning–Kruger_effect

I think I suck but I actually suck. :I

3 RepliesThat's how life works, success is the worst motivator from my experience. Someone who constantly sees success as just out of reach will keep going and stay humble about it. Someone that lives under the delusion of success will spend more time justifying their success than trying to find real success

1 ReplySo jesus is a bad player...? "Jesus, noob since the year 0" (ಥ﹏ಥ)

1 ReplyYou know what I noticed? That no one really plays normal kings fall raid anymore. I have no intentions trying hard mode yet.
-
1 ReplyThe fun fact it's that if someone now comes and posts "I'm probably a bad player" he will look like a true bad player trying to hide his/her true skill behind what OP posted Paradox isn't daily today, but it's strong in this thread for example -Normal conversation among friends: -"I'm bad" -"no, dude, you are cool, look at that k/d" -Post in this thead -"I'm bad" -"yeah, gg dude, nice try, but you are trying to troll us"
-
I don't even know why this post was done.

4 RepliesYou think thats worse? Year 2 Players think they are better than Year 1 players and then you see on the forums "Must 310/ blah blah"- y2 noob and as you the raid they say they are good but cant even di the stategies right and fail. Ive experienced many fail raids attempts on oryx and im getting sick and tired of this bull s h i t.

1 ReplyThis is literally applied to everyone everywhere.

There is a middle ground. I know I'm better than average but know I'm not great.

3 RepliesIts life. People who suck at something will point out everything that makes them seem good and act like they are. People who ARE good at something only see what they messed up on and so think they are crap. Its really just about mindset though. I know I suck. But while I do like to point out my awesome moments at the end of the day I still suck. And so I want to get better.
-
Didn't notice that, you're kinda right
-
Hello :-) I think I have some good moments, but decent overall

3 RepliesMy k/d is shit, I don't know if I'm a bad player based on my terrible k/d. I know I am better with the combo of a auto rifle and a sniper, I consider myself very good at sniping and really good at map knowledge and movement. When Trials is here, I am the leader of the team mainly, making the calls on movements and myself going to places where my sniping skills will dominate the enemy team. I would say I am and above average player and I know there are many who will always be better than me at something, so I always keep practising and improving to help my team and myself.
