Can hunters get a better subclass?
Sure, we have two top tier subclasses (AB & GG) and sure we needed a support class. But can we please get a subclass with an over shield or something?? I'm tired of going super and dying by everything because I get no bonus shield, unlike the titans 3 subclasses that grant over shield ( and HoS with its BS health regen) and the warlock who can self res and also have extra shield. I mean, come on bungie.
Edit: let me rephrase this slightly, out of all the subclasses in the game, the hunter is much more susceptible to death in their super compared to Titans and Warlocks. And I know Hunters are meant to be the main damage dealers Yada Yada Yada. I'm just saying, it sucks going into your super and dying to shotguns in one shot, dying to snipers in one shot, in some cases melee attacks in essentially one hit. Where as Titans and Warlocks don't have to worry about it as much, because of their shields.
Edit: I hope that when you read this, you don't think that I'm asking for GG 2.0 with crazy ridiculous shielding. Titans already have that with HoS, I'm simply asking for a subclass where we can survive through a barrage of gunfire like titans and warlocks can, where we don't have to run from the enemy just to survive.
Edit: My main point is this, I'm tired of playing offense as a hunter and I'm not interested in leveling up a titan.
Edit: A lot of people are using the argument, that "hunters are the aggressive class and they aren't suppose to tank any damage." Okay, then let me ask you this; why, then, does a tank class (titan) have an aggressive subclass( HoS)? Because by your logic, hunters deal damage, titans play defense, and warlocks play support, except HoS completely destroys your arguement.

I think the point that you should be making is in your last edit. The tank class currently has a super that allows them to play aggressive. There is no downside to the HoS currently. Hunters are fine, but HoS is not.

7 RepliesEdited by monkyken: 10/30/2015 2:14:19 PMHunters are the main offensive subclass in PVP (outside of HoS and warlock arc), dont like it play one of the other classes, if you are to lazy to level up another class maybe you need to rethink why you are even playing this game. p.s blade dancer gets an over shield (damage reduction) and is the quickest moving class by a mile, the only thing that should happen if anything is it get returned to its pre nerf state.

5 RepliesHunters don't have overshield because we don't need it. Do you know what a hunter is? We are all about speed, stealth, and high dps not tanking. Meant to get in and out in a flash and long range high dps without being seen. There is a reason our class exclusive weapons are a hand cannon and sniper rifle. If you want a close quarter tank you're in the wrong class buddy.

3 RepliesHunters were not ever meant to be a defensive class, they were always meant to be the aggressively played class. so no they do not need a tank subclass. They are meant to be hit and run toons. strike hard and fast and move out before retaliation comes in.

Hunters and warlocks have the same damage reduction in they're supers but Titans have a 50% damage reduction in they're supers

2 RepliesOne shot from snipers? Everything gets one shotted by snipers with a headshot except for hammer titans who have the right stats and radiant skin warlocks who have a flame shield (but all they have is extra grenades and melees so they aren't all that threatening if you play smart).
