Pulse Rifles are still the one and only powerhouse. Rather fight Thorn at this point
Title says everything. When is the lasttime you got killed by an Auto Rifle? Most of you wont be able to remember

1 ReplyThorn- 2 shots walk away, profit. Pulse rifles- 2-4 bursts, have to stay in the fight, can't walk away, longer TTK then Thorn too. I'd take a lobby full of pulse rifles over Thorn any day of the year. To answer your question, I was killed by a SUROS only a few hours ago

1 ReplyBull...anecdotally speaking that may be true for you..ive been killed by and killed.a number of people in a mulitude of ways that don't inclue hawkmoon or pulse rifles. Here's the list Boolean gemeni Red death Hawkmoon Oryx HC (cant remember name) Touch of Malice Doom of chelchis Suris Regime Paleocontact Apple of discord The last word Zhalo supercell (this one wrecks hard) Theres more but i cant recall all the names. Its true that some of the exotic weapons are the best primaries in the game atm and many of the better legendaries are quest rewards or easily blue print purchasable so it makes sense that the best guns people have are what they're going to use simply because its attainable. As far as Im concerned the meta right now is friggen awesome. Im perfectly comfortable with a variety of weapons. Some weapons I like more than others so ill use them as a go to regular snd switch out when the situation calls for it. (Mid-close range i prefer HC to pulse or scout)

I am getting killed by just about every weapon you can think of. Red Death is popular yes but my Zhalo is getting me double kills left and right!!

Im always getting killed by a variety of guns ive always used my red death in crucible as its a gun i like using. Even when thorn was a big deal i still used my death

Suros ari 45 Chaperone Heavy of choice. That's my ib load out and at close range that auto murders the weapons you stated (except many red death)

I get killed by auto rifles and scout rifles all of the time. Pulse rifles are just more useful on maps such as widow's court because of the variety of ranges on the map.

Just because a weapon type is in the top teir for a certain range doesn't mean it's overpowered. Thorn and TLW were overpowered because they were the best at any range in any setting. Certain pulse rifles are are the best at certain ranges by virtue of their perks. Every weapon type has it's use.

I haven't played this week but since TTK came out I've been killed by pulse rifles more often than shotguns in crucible.

Basically only pulses in IB. Pretty annoying honestly but in regular crucible I see a bunch of different guns.
