I think we can agree that so far, VoG has been the best raid in Destiny
So far, VoG has been the best for me. What do you think?

Beating VoG for the first time was probably my greatest moment in destiny. But I do enjoy KF better, and I cannot wait for hard mode xD

Nothing beat my first completion of Vault of Glass where my team mate outside the portals kept shooting Atheon until he died to which he exclaimed in a high pitch voice "I did it! I killed him!" #1 favourite destiny moment

Edited by WELSHA08: 10/18/2015 7:00:38 AMI have to be honest, Kings Fall really made me reconsider whether VoG is still best. I think KF edges it for me now, never thought I'd say that. I think playing VoG for the first time is still my favourite Destiny moment so far though.

3 RepliesVoG was great, but it was plagued by cheeses and bugs for too long. It is also less dependent on the team concept in some sections. KF requires good cohesion throughout, and there are several sections that require everyone to show some semblance of personal skill. Somehow there are fewer glitches as well. To me, that makes it a better raid. I also find it more fun. CE was just bad.

10 RepliesI prefer King's Fall. Dunking the relics is more fun than standing in a circle. The tomb ships are hella fun and the scenery is great as opposed to any sort of Vex architecture. Earning the right to the Warpriest is fun and requires more than just killing mobs compared to defending the confluxes. Templar is more fun than Warpriest imo. Golgoroth is simple. I prefer Golgy to the Oracles any day. It's less boring. The maze and "WIPEOUT" are just hilarious. The Deathsingers beat the Gatekeeper hands down. Oryx is more fun than Atheon imo.

4 RepliesVault of Glass: Overall good, but relies more on not dying from adds than actually fighting the bosses. 7/10 Crota's End: Shouldn't even be considered a raid, no teamwork needed at all, stupidly easy after the second week, hard mode did nothing but remove the chalice from Crota, overall should be considered a glorified strike. 2/10 King's Fall: Prefect blend of adds, dps, and mechanics. Requires heavy teamwork and communication. Jumping puzzles are annoying, but everything else makes up for it with ease. 9.5/10

In my opinion VOG was the best raid especially using the relics and come on who didn't get excited when there first fatebringer dropped! VOG in general had the best weapons in all raids besides black hammer

1 ReplyI absolutely love VoG and I enjoy Kings Fall a lot. Crota is unquestionably the least fun raid. It's just not enjoyable, and when I came out is was so broken that it wasn't a question of "can we do it?" But rather "will the game work for enough time consecutively to get this done?" I want to say VoG is the best, but I'm worried that's just nostalgia.

Course it was. It was the one they had the most time to work on, the one that they polished to the point of perfection. Crota was rushed out, Skolas doesn't even count as a Raid... And Oryx...well, lets just say that I'm holding out till we see what the Hard variation gives us.

Don't get me wrong, I love VoG, but we are all so infatuated with it because it was the first raid. When it was new, it was REALLY new. With subsequent raids, we have an idea what to look for and we have some level of expectations. Crota was the only raid that I felt lacked a bit. The mechanics for VoG and KF are quite unique and fun to play.

Id rather answer after I get my feet wet in the new hard mode... Otherwise I'd have to give it too VoG. Kings fall was "hard" the first week or so but then it just got really easy fast. Although I love the amount of teamwork it takes.

7 RepliesVault of Glass has the best mix of story, game mechanics, level design and length. Crota is just a strike. Oryx is a testament to over-designing a raid. Making something more complicated doesn't make it more challenging or interesting.

For my 2 cents....I like KF better, partially because it's been less glitchy so far than VoG was initially (at least for me, anyways)....that and the rhino penis jumping puzzle is a great stress reliever, makes me laugh everytime someone gets shoved across the map!

Long live the VOG! Played up until atheon on monday, everyone had to leave, and i had so much fun. Best times are in VOG in my opinion :)

Vog is very very good but I think most ppl like it so much is because it was amazing the first time you played it, the first raid y ever played. Ppl were sill learning the game and now ppl know their classes strength and weaknesses along with better gunplay and teamwork. Crota was straight forward not alot of mystery to it. Kings fall is great. I was very impressed with it. But just think if kings fall was the first raid you have ever tried would your thinking be different?
